What are your thoughts on ethical investing?
There are plenty of geniunely evil companies out there, some openly evil like Palantir (who aid ICE in deporting innocent people and ruining their lives and help murder palestinian children in gaza) and some who try to hide it like google (who are basically an arm of US intelligence but hide behind their consumer services like youtube and google maps).

Do you consider the practices of the companies you are considering investing in in your strategy?

ethical investing is one of those buzzword platitude paradoxes.
if you invest in it then it isn't ethical.
its ethical on in so far as ocrporations follow their own ethic through policy and procedure.
money is the root of all evil.
theres no such thing as ethical investing.

How so?
There are plenty of small companies who do good in the world and also want access to capital from financial markets to grow

ideally these small companies should have easier access to capital to do good at a larger scale

unironically nothing wrong with pltr and I dont say that because I am an investor. they are illegals and how no right to be in your country to begin with. there is a legal and controlled system in place for migration, use it.

Yes, for this reason, Bitcoin is the only thing I 'invest' in. I have a 401k too but only because of free money in the employer match.

Depends on which morals. There’s a meme where a guy invested in companies with CEOs that deadlift and he outperformed the S&P. If it’s focused on pussy liberal “morals”, it’s no good. Also addiction sells.

My thoughts are that I'd invest in anything that makes money. Morals are fake and gay and change with the times. I really could not care less about any evil or good that's being done in the world unless it affects me personally. Until then it is not my problem.

Yes but I think it's foolish unless you have the kind of money to change the balance of power. Are you in the markets to make a statement or are you in it to make money? Not to mention if you invest in things that stir you emotionally you're more likely to make poor emotional decisions.

Ethical investing is a subset of ESG, which DEI is also a subset of. It's a buzzword used by the most evil investment companies in the world, e.g. blackrock, as an excuse to destroy our countries and impoverish us all. Which is not very ethical.

>some openly evil like Palantir

palantir is in the spotlight because it played a significant role in the gaza invasion and implementing IDF battle doctrine through its AI platform like it was a game of starcraft(broodwar not the bastard sequels)

believe it or not most of their tech is catered towards managing government and corporate paperwork more efficiently(more or less).

>who aid ICE in deporting innocent people

imagine thinking having fewer illegal immigrants in California working for $10 an hour when minimum wage is $15 would do anything except hurt small businesses who need the slave labor so they can pass the difference onto rent because otherwise real estate prices would have to go down which means the people who do the actual work that keeps the economy going get a smaller and smaller compensation as a result of lower revenue resulting in a smaller markup

tldr deporting illegal immigrants is a good thing

>and ruining their lives

see above.

i honestly cannot imagine the level of demonic narcissism required to justify to yourself that skipping the line and entering America without citizenship means you deserve to get away with it

>help murder palestinian children in gaza

pic related

>like google (who are basically an arm of US intelligence but hide behind their consumer services like youtube and google maps).

nah we're good boys, it's microsoft you're thinking of

>Do you consider the practices of the companies you are considering investing in in your strategy?

>they are illegals and how no right to be in your country to begin with

I thank God every day that Trump was elected, had he lost the election those "illegals" would've become "temporary permanent residents" and would've become citizens enmasse.

Basically letting the squatter in your home become a rent free tenant who then takes mortgages out on your home because it's also theirs now.

Dude, it's not about illegal spics. Palantir is genuinely evil. They probably have a profile on you right now that shows a detailed history of your life. Everything you've ever jerked off to, every bad thing you ever said online is probably in your profile, and can be released at the drop of a hat. I don't understand how anyone can be okay with that. It's an absolute rape of your privacy.

Morals only matter to the extent public perception changes an outcome. If the public collectively consents to genocide, famine, engineered disease, replacement, or whatever horrible thing then it will happen. Doesn't mean it's right or wrong but they control it without even realizing it. We forge the chains we wear in life.

>unironically nothing wrong with pltr
Agreed. Those PLTR systems were there last year too, before Trump. Did PLTR authorize the files or is it just a tool? Are niggas also going to give PLTR credit for doing nice shit during the Biden administration? Of course not.

Like most discourse today there's no logic, only ego-driven ideology.

Reminds me of the old IBM argument. N-zi Germany used IBM, but so did the US social security program to protect seniors and the US Space Program to get us to the moon.
