All your new income will be taxed at a higher bracket, your tastes will evolve to become more expensive and you will find yourself in the exact same situation in 5 years, except there will be no promotion available for a 30 year old. You're practically dead to them at that point.

>tastes will evolve to become more expensive
I donโ€™t understand this. I still live like a dog. In fact, my lease expired last year and instead of renewing I downgraded to a smaller and cheaper place despite making more money and am willing to do it again if I find another place cheap enough to justify the cost of moving. Only thing I wonโ€™t do is living with strangers but my rent is only 1/6 of my post tax income at the moment

Thats not how how taxes work Im pretty sure, the increase is marginal at best.
>no promotions
The company im at is actually pretty good at internally hiring I think I could get promoted to 35-40/hr realistically by 5 years if I apply for a role that opens up or something

that's exactly how taxes work and you should shut the fuck up if you're not willing to google something and read an AI synopsis answer.

Rent is one thing, but what do you do for joy in that tiny space? You start eating better food, you start paying for a better gym membership, you start drinking fancier bourbons. If that doesn't get you, inflation will.
