Leaving Britain isn't financially viable, before you move you need to do all this:

>contact royal mail and pay for your mail (bills, summonses etc.) to be forwarded to your new address in your new country

>Student loans: contact your student loan company for permission to leave, those with outstanding student loans will need to pay them off in full before leaving.

>contact your local police station to inform them of your intent to leave so they can check any outstanding warrants and any files they have on you or open cases can be passed on to the police in your new country.

>get legal advice - moving abroad can affect your legal standing, you need to have a solicitor on retainer in order to deal with any issues that may arise

They wont let you board the plane with a one way ticket. You have to present a return ticket. Also, if your tax bill isn't cleared you'll be stopped by passport control and asked to settle your taxes first before boarding so the plane will take off without you. I left Canada years ago. I just packed up and left. Didn’t tell anyone. Filed my last tax return and left it at that. This was over a decade ago. I have had my passport renewed since then, gone back for visits, etc. and never had a hard time. You need to just be prepared to never go back. If you can get a 2nd passport somewhere else, do it asap. Don't go down with the sinking ship that is the UK.
