If you have money the first thing you'd do is not live in a trailer so why waste the money on it (bearing in mind that unlike a house you won't recoup the investment).

Around here 1 acre is 300k usd. There is a lot that is heavily wooded from being an old tree farm. Would be perfect to put a trailer in there without anyone knowing. You cant just live in a trailer on an empty lot. Neighbors would report it

>You cant just live in a trailer on an empty lot
Around here in leaf country there's random "cheap" 100k pieces of wooded land you can buy but you can't build permanent structures on, usually because it's on a flood plain, so at best you can park a mobile trailer there and have it ready to move 24/7, maybe find somewhere else to park temporarily if it does flood. After the cost of a trailer and truck to move it you're looking at a minimum 200k total for a place to live, and you can't even get mail there, so it's a hassle for anything that requires a permanent address, and constant pain in the ass to always move around just to live there, and winters would unbearable if the trailer isn't a nice one.
For the cost you might as well just rent at 2k/mo for a nice place. If you're bringing in money, if you've saved up 200k you can easily save up 600k in a fraction of the time, which will give you a 4% safe withdrawal rate, essentially covering all your rent.

Yes, I have maxed my FHSA, TFSA, and even RRSP.
Housing is an overpriced scam here though, 700k for an average house.
That much capital locked up just for a shitty house seems retarded, I'd rather just retire when I hit 1.3m and keep renting in my rent controlled 2bedroom+2bath+den apartment for $1700/month.

Seriously they have "rv parks" in which you can park your trailer or RV mobile house and live free from the rent jew, if you don't like the place you just move out very simply, another thing is it's so damn cheap it's unreal, a trailer or RV cost no more than 10-30k usd

Who do you think it is that owns these RV parks and rents out the pads in them? Surely you aren't really naive enough to think that American's just have free parking communities for RVs/mobile homes.

Isn’t the pad rent still equivalent to like the rent of a cheap apartment? So you literally have to spend like 80-100k for the privilege of paying rent for something that is only slightly better than an apartment unit to live amongst meth heads

You have to pay lot fees of like $600/month because they don't let you buy the land in a park.

They don't let you just put a trailer on regular residential lots you can buy.

The lot fees totally ruin it

They could have built that out of normal materials and not only would it still have the sorta cool modern theme, but it also would look good and have insulation in the walls.

>Seriously they have "rv parks" in which you can park your trailer or RV mobile house and live free from the rent jew
LOL, you think you can just park on someone else's land and hook up to their electricity and live without paying anything? "Pad rent" is about as much as a cheap apartment.

And then there are all the other disadvantages of living in a trailer, like how the plumbing can freeze in winter because of poor insulation, or how mice tunnel into the insulation and shit and piss everywhere. And the disads of living in a trailer park, like all the other residents and their addictions and mental illnesses.

>>60843690
>They don't let you just put a trailer on regular residential lots you can buy.

There are lots out in the country near me that are cheap like $10-30k but they have no utilities and you would have to clear an area for a trailer to park it on, bet it all adds up to over 100k after you buy the trailer move it in and have utilities installed, easier to just buy a fixer upper imo

it's basically the same cost as renting a shitty apartment. private equity firms are buying up trailer parks across the country and jacking up lot fees. it's pretty sad. if you have an old shitty trailer you probably can't even move it without it falling apart, so these people basically abandon their trailer and then get sued in court for disposal fees on their trailer.
Anonymous (ID: 3T+MGRBp) No.60845209
The US capitalist equivalent of council flats or commieblocks. Many are poverty traps. Depreciating assets, and often you are perpetually paying lot rent of $500 or more to live next to shitty people who's records are so bad they can't even rent an apartment but can scrape together $10,000 to buy the trailer in OPs pic. Anything built pre 1976 is a fire trap with aluminum wiring.

Where tf do you rent a 1 bedroom for $500, in my area its not uncommon to see a single room in a house with seven other dudes around $1000 before utilities.
Actual one bedroom apartments are $1350-$1800 before utilities. In the boonies.
