((Monthly expenses * 12)*(Tax rate))/Perpetual withdrawal rate
For me it's:
((1.8k*12)*(1,28))/0.023= 1.202.086 euros

Well I'm really conservative on the withdrawal rate side of things, you could probably bump it to 3% (0.03) and be fine. Also your stack will grow via staking.

No it's enough, I live in Europe, with 500k I can get 50k a year from strategic real estate investments, which is about 4k per months, or 3k after taxes. Enough to take care of a family while leaving normally without working, it to life a fun life as a single man

I live in Southern Europe and I don't want to live on 2k a month.

Retirement isn't just about not working, it's about not working plus being able to do what you want, which includes paying for things you couldn't previously. At least, that's the way it is for me.

The number I worked out years ago was 16m and that assumed spending 100k/year with inflation, with never gaining a penny more on my principal till I die.

You could call that a super conservative base amount, but that's the aim nonetheless.

Good luck with that brother I hope you make it. I'm a simple man and I don't need too many "things" as you put it. I'm already living on 2k per month and perfectly good as everyone here. 100k per year sounds insanely high where I'm from, I've literally never heard anyone making close to that, like if you make 3k monthly here you are living pretty good, and that's before taxes and housing expenses.

>$500k-$1mil is enough to go out and try living your dreams, knowing you have a very strong base to fall back on if you fail.
>$2mil - $3mil is enough to not have to work if you don't want to
>$5mil enough to not have to work while living well. You can go chase you dreams without even worrying about making money from it.

With 16 fucking millions you'll get much much more than 100k per year of ROI what are you even saying.

$2mil is awesome, but even as an old retiree that's the bare minimum. If you're younger, you can't really expect to never work again in your life. Or if you do retire early, you have to live austerely. $5mil not only means you don't have to work if you don't want to, it also means you can not work and live well.

not really... if chainlink staking allowed the full 75M opened up the interest rate would be around 3%... with that in interest thats only 480K$ USD a year...

where i live 50% of that is taxed/insurance... basically unavoidable costs... so you are stuck with 240K... with inflation you have to reinvest 50% of that 240K (assuming 1.5% inflation rate on your 3% interest, you have to re-invest half of it to keep your current lifestyle) that only leaves you with 120K USD to do what you want...

now you get to utilities, food, gas... essential items to not die... maybe that is 100K USD leftover to do what you want... so the 100K usd spending money is accurate... can't be flying first class or even business on that 100K usd... which is what low middle class makes in california...

4% of 2 million is 80k; 80k a year is just about comfortable middle class living in Europe after taxes; you have to be careful, can't afford real luxuries - no flash lifestyle. A grind. 4% of 5 million is 200k; thats make it money for life.

There is a huuuuge difference between $100k spending money and making $100k, because the spending money is after literally all of your expenses, taxes, reinvestments, utilities etc. You're being extremely conservative and pessimistic in all of your estimates.

Having $10k a month to do whatever you want with is huge. You can easily fly 1st class once or twice a year if you with a budget like that. You realize you don't have to spend every penny of it every month, right?

i can easily spend 50K a month... so can you... anyone really... also i have to start a family so that 10K a month (with a 16M net worth all in link) probably only i can spend 1K usd on myself if im lucky...

Let's break it down, shall we. The components required to live a "good" life in 2025:
>Housing: $1M - nice big house or medium sized house + vacation home
>Running costs: ~3k per month (groceries, insurance, taxes, utilities, gas) --> another $1M invested in index funds with a SWR of 3.5%
>Hobby budget: ~$200k (you can maintain a nice car + a family car, musical instruments, upgrade PC every 5 years etc.)
>Cash: ~$100k (5 years of living expenses)
So around $2.3M minimum
I wouldn't go above these numbers in fiat, I think in the future we will be able to more easily pay directly with staking rewards/crypto without having to pay taxes and all of this above is more about establishing a guaranteed "madeit" baseline

The fuck are you babling about.
16 millions invested correctly is a safe 1.6 million per year, that's 133k per months without touching your main capital.
