Is this the proper way to reneg on accepting a job interview? Sorry if I'm not up to date on the current office etiquette.

To be honest, you don't seem very fit for the Security Guard position at Living Shores Aquarium Story Land. Have you considered being a club bouncer instead?

I currently work as a security guard for a hotel where I am paid $22 an hour. I only applied to other places because I wanted a job site that was closer to my home. After accepting this interview I looked it up and they are even further than where I currently worked. So I decided to politely reneg on the interview.

I do this all the time, make myself a resume where I am extremely overqualified, then apply for jobs and ask for a small salary and of course I get called like dozens of times a day. Then I go into an interview and then act like their company sucks and I totally dont wanna work there. Or I just straight up ghost them. Sometimes they still try to call me one week later.
