Im 37 going on 38 and my real life ALMOST started about 10 times in the past 2 years but I keep round-tripping, or if I do end up taking a big W, I end up losing it all to a rug.

Wonder what the homeless arc is going to be like when my parents are no longer around.

I'm 37 and have $16M liquid and taxes paid and I own my house mortgage free and my real life STILL hasn't begun.

Protip: just start your real life now. It's literally that easy, just start. No amount of money makes it 'happen' to you, you still have to figure out what you really want and go out there and make it happen.

to be fair, it does take longer and longer to get your shit together nowadays. Could rant for days, but it's honestly ok to take longer to get stable. The number is different for everyone, but it took me until 30 to move out with a decent job and enough BTC to feel safe. Still working on the GF, but it's alright to not have everything perfect at 18 like the spoiled generations before us. I full expect most of Gen Z to not have their shit together until they're 35

I had a real life in my 20s and was reckless af. It's amazing that I survived somehow.
I'll take having a few dull, stable, no-life years in my 30's to make up for it. Basically just grateful to be alive and not a homeless junky in a ditch somewhere at this point.

i guess you must be able to reach a place where you sort of feel like a minimum confident and well inside your own skin. Then start working your looks, and be sensitive to what energy people send you back. If a woman doesn't seem to like you no point in trying hard.

Anyway, i never had issues picking girl maybe i'm moderately handsome but now i gueninely don't want to pick them up. The world is very vast and there are many many women inside it not spoonfeeding you it's not that hard to find one for you

I've been doing that shit for years. I don't know if I'm handsome, I'm probably just normal. Not fat or anything. But I've become quite socially adept and regularly go to social gatherings, and every girl treats me the same way. Friendly but not interested. I don't waste time with girls who are clearly not interested, but since that's all of them I just end up nowhere.

i don't know dude but if you managed to live until 40 years old and never ever had a girl into you either you're very ugly either you give off a really bad vibe but something has to be wrong.I don't want to be mean or anything.
This being said, i am a voluntary celibate (a real one) and i don't think women will make you happy, they will ruin your life and make you miserable if you're a sensitive guy. I am not in a mental place where i give a fuck about who likes me or not but i have been when i was a teenager. I guess i was rather handsome so it was easy but even there at that period i remember i got rejected and i was ptsd. Now i gueninely don't give a fuck
Every person is different, there is no correct answer on how to pick women. Some things work with the majority of women like being handsome, confident or rich but that's kinda not what someone like you should be looking for.
Idk what to tell you. it's kinda over for you anyway

>I don't want to be mean or anything.
It's okay I wonder the same thing all the time, I even asked my good friend and he doesn't know either. I make friends easily all the time and when I look in the mirror nothing jumps out as terribly unaesthetic. I look just normal.
There have been girls interested in the past but I always fucked it up somehow, either not texting well or saying something stupid that immediately made them lose interest. But if simple shit like that made them not interested, I figure they weren't interested enough in the first place anyway, if minor shit like that turned them off. I've been told I need to "escalate" but I'm not comfortable making bold moves that could make me seem like a predator or some shit. Also I'm not the OP or the other anon, I'm under 40.

I'm 35 and feel in limbo. I've sort of attained a lot of the things I should've by now: a house, new car, near $200k salary. I hold over 1 BTC with nearly 180k in crypto, and am currently with $170k+ in TSP. I'm on track to retire by 50 with a pension, and it's morbid, because I do love my parents, but I'm also expected to get a pretty decent inheritence by then (maybe near $500k?). But I'd prefer to "make it" sooner so I don't have to work at all, and be able to pursue my passions. Most annoying of all is my complete inability to secure a stable relationship, much less marriage and children, so I sort of face existential questions of the point of everything. I basically just rely on sugar babies to get my fix, or ocassional one night stands, and 2 week "relationships" before the woman gets bored of me and ghosts me for another guy. If I can't manage to resolve this by retirement at 50, I may just go on a spree and impregnate as many third world women as possible.

Better than me.
You could develop and overcome a drug habit in the next 6 years, build up that 5.5 again and be ahead of where I was when I was 32 or 33.
I had a job at 26 but didn't understand money until after covid and got this job at 34.
Like, I knew what money was obviously but I didn't save anything. Bought fast food, games, pc, and thank God I came out of it with a good mazda SUV.

Shit hurts so bad, grew up poor. I get so frustrated, if I had a stable household and not had to escape as soon as possible, parents who were supportive instead of making me have to fend for myself at 15 and save to get out, I could've made so much more, but then again I may have never been pushed to learn crypto and investments in the first place. Bought eth when it was $10 for christ's sakes.
