BTC will sink some day, the technology behind it is ancient which results in extremely inefficient blockchain network that wastes too much resources for nothing. Almost any alternative coins are better in this regard, the reason why it's still valued so high is that it's the first coin and that the general public has no clue how inefficient it actually is or why that is so bad for the planet and its blockchain operations. I've already switched over to alternatives which I see viable long-term while waiting for the day when this cold hard truth is realized and manifested in reality.
