living this lifestyle isn't worth it if you make under 75k or something.

If you make about 120k then yes reducing expenses by 95% will lead you to FIRE. You can't expect someone to stay motivated doing that for long if they only make 45k per year and can only save 1000 by virtually cutting off their social life.

Plex/usenet/jellyseerr/sonarr/radarr/prowlarr

google this and learn how to self host your own server that can download any TV series or Movie that has been released. Even if it was released within the last week.

It's a server that gives you 300 dollars a month in content that only costs 30 bucks a month to self host and automate.

>Plex/Usenet/Jellyseerr/Sonarr/Radarr/Prowlarr refers to a popular automated media server ecosystem, where Plex or Jellyfin serve as media players, Sonarr and Radarr automate the management and downloading of TV shows and movies, Usenet or torrenting are the sources for obtaining media, Prowlarr helps find and filter releases from various indexers, and Jellyseerr (or Overseerr) provides a user-friendly interface for requesting content to be added to the library.

it can be in the initial setup process where you have to purchase the hardware. Electrical costs to run into that also has to be factored in. Overall it costs 10 to 20 bucks per month depending on how it's hosted to external connections and then extra for the electricity in use.

I'm able to easily share my 2000 movies and 300 TV series with my entire family that also saves them money. Over the next 5 years before I need to replace my drives, the average cost of hardware equates to about 10 bucks per month.

As long as you have 60 terabytes of hard drives you can easily hold 10k individual movies and a few thousand TV series.

imho it's worth it to just be able to keep all this on a few hard drives.

The biggest ones are cutting out junk and car loans

When I started truly saving I realised that i easily spent 20+ bucks a day on shit i don’t need at all
>bag of chips 3 bucks
>energy drink 1-2 bucks
>coffee 2-4 bucks
>fast food 5-10 bucks
>alcohol 3-10 bucks
Even if you meal prep cheap meals you can blow 10 bucks a day in a heartbeat on a snack, that’s 300 a month on something you got cause you were bored, Netflix does the same at like 20 or whatever it is now.

Buy a Japanese car from 2000-2010 for a few K without loans, they’re basically indestructible if you change the oil when you’re supposed to.

Even making garbage money like 2.5k a month after tax and you can get away with ~800 in rent n shit, 250-300 on food, 50-100 on travel. Another 50 on must haves like a phone etc. In essence you can save half your pay check. 15k that year, if you put that in bitcoin or a savings acccount, even 4% isn’t too bad.

More like under 40k. If you don't make enough, you need to get better paying work because your savings can't "keep up" when you're investing since starting capital is so little. If you make even just 50k you can make it by not being a retard and actually being disciplined. If you don't have any debts on your back, in just two years you can have a 20% down payment on a home when making that much, or be a little behind that.

you're essentially cutting off your social life if you try to FIRE at 50k. You should be making enough where you can still afford basic luxuries.

It's the slow boomer death where your life revolves around working and then going home, saving up for 40 years so you can live a meager life without the benefits.

That's why I insinuated where focusing on earning 75k per year is a great way to start off. Sure you can theoretically do it by renting an 800 dollar shed and never ever going out to eat or finding a girlfriend, but what life is that?

It's up to you to decide that.

It's about the mindset. Once you become comfortable with spending money on shit you don't need, there's no end to it, you'll waste it in no time. You need to get to a point when you feel physically sick if you spend any money at all. That's when you achieve the status of an honorary Jew and become rich 2 weeks later

Don't know this guy, don't have an opinion on him.
Embracing frugality and true minimalism, rather than just the outward aesthetic, can be rewarding in ways beyond the financial. It's hard at first, but eventually your mindset will go from "how can I live without this" to "why did I ever need this." It removes ceremonial obligations. It resets your dopamine receptors so that when you do occasionally indulge, it will be sweeter.
Don't cancel Netflix because you want to save $20. Cancel it because you want to save the time you would have spent watching it.

bitcoin has no value

- it will never be used as currency, too slow too much energy
- it cant be used for dApps
- being finite alone doesnt make it valuable or a hedge against inflation, it is not gold, gold is valuable because it is scarce AND has uses

Work itself won't make you rich for most people, as the average wages are like $40-55,000 depending where you live. The system is credit-backed and the system NEEDs cheap input, and that includes labor. The trick is to acquire capital assets and the most efficient way to do this is to use credit investments to generate credit income which you can then withdraw as wealth (precious metals and physical capital assets).
Trying to work to pay off a house or a car is retard-tier hamster-wheel running. The rich leave you all of the tools to play the game, which is essentially nothing more than having all the plebs pay INTO the stock market so they can steal it.
It's sort of like the economy is the human body. But only the brain gets any benefit from drinking alcohol. So the the brain manipulates the arms to drink the alcohol but the stomach, liver, skin, circulatory system etc all get damaged. You yourself have the option of participating if you are smart enough to play the game. Otherwise all you get it the cost.
As was said in the Gangs of New York "Everybody pays, everybody plays".
Take that to heart. You are forced to play so utilize the strategy that wins.
