So SWIFT announced publicly they'd be testing out multiple "digital assets" for integration last year and were intentionally non-specific. Ripple has nearly 2000 NDAs that we know of. XRP is the 3rd largest crypto. Chainlink "is for data", not as useful for liquidity and faster transactions. XRP would better for that. Now just using basic logic in conjuction with SWIFTs 2024 announcements and the current news...
>SOURCE!? No i need SWIFT!!

XRPL can definitely join the multichain world though.
What it won't do is become Swift's backbone like OP claims with his fake articles.

Hell, Swift itself doesn't endorse ANY specific chain. It's entirely up to the individual banks to pick and choose what chains they want to use.
However Swift does specifically endorse Chainlink, because that's the superstructure that ties all the chains together.

yes, but XRP is useless in a multichain world.
Tell me why a bank should settle via a bridgecurrency and give a private company immense power over their transactions when they just could have their own stablecoin and do an atomic swap with the other banks stablecoin, with any fucking kind of technology they want, it doesn't even have to be chainlinks CCIP.

Xerpies fundamentally believe XRP will take not just a piece of the pie, but (almost) the whole pie. The pushback by Tom and most Linkies here is exactly against that line of thinking, not against XRP securing a piece at all.

People are reacting to the fake articles about Swift somehow choosing XRPL.

Swift doesn't choose or even endorse ANY chain.
Swift only endorses the superstructure that connects the chains, specifically Chainlink.

And by the way, both defi and tradfi have been "multichain" for a while now, and Ripple has zero traction among either.

Why attacking #XRP is actually a gift to the #XRPArmy
The data reveals a counterintuitive truth: criticism drives engagement, not decline. Here's the proof:
XRP-related hashtags received over 4.1 billion views on TikTok in 2024
Reddit's r/Ripple subreddit crossed 280,000 members, reflecting growing retail engagement
Major social analysts highlighted XRP in over 200 million engagements on crypto videos in the last 12 months

>implying I click on delusional XRP podcasts that are posted here by equally delusional XRP fanboys.
Lmao. The text IS AI generated, because that's the only way these mouth breathing mongoloids can string a coherent sentence together. Look at the absolute state:
>Why attacking #XRP is actually a gift to the #XRPArmy
They literally cannot look at ANYTHING happening without spinning it in XRP's favor. Tom Zschach calling out XRP and their Swell thing?
>Why SWIFT deriding #XRP is actually a gift to the #XRPArmy
>Government working with Chainlink? This actually bullish for XRP because XRP IS the government!
The formula is always the fucking same. Calling this out apparently "legitimizes them" and "is not worth your time because they're just a small schizo part of the community (but I'm still going to link videos spouting nonsense like that because me and many other Xerpies actually believe that shit)".

You're so fucking disingenuous it's sickening.

Thats a wall of seethe, lovely. He mentions actual metrics on social media. Every time any community hates on xrp and has a tantrum (BTC maxies, Litecoin, CL advocates like fishy, biepum, CLG - last 2 even have podcasts where they discuss ripple and xrp, as link advocates kek) It eventually benefits XRP.
Not only are you aware of it but you keep doing exactly the same, over and over.

Kek. Like I explained last thread, the smaller party always has more to gain with "rivalries" like these. Xrplets getting this uppity about it only confirms it. The fear is palpable.

They are so seething that their own grifters and "governance" can't get in there and ruin the whole thing.

I've said since the beginning that Ripple holding the most and being generally in charge was the best thing possible.
They knew if they opened it up it would be vampired and sucked dry.

The XRP/Ripple community runs on blatantly fraudulent โ€œnews.โ€ A quick search like โ€œRipple x SWIFTโ€ pulls up nothing but low-effort AI-generated sites. Each one cites another equally fake site as its โ€œsource,โ€ which itself links to yet another, in an endless circular chain. Thereโ€™s never a credible outlet, never a trace of real human reporting, never even basic common sense.

It looks less like journalism and more like a self-referential bot network. If this is what Rippleโ€™s ecosystem relies on? Itโ€™s nothing but a trap for the lowest-IQ speculators and scammers.

gpt response below because I'm lazy

>Ripple's Technology Stack for Banks
Ripple has indeed provided its technology stack to various financial institutions, allowing them to utilize its innovative solutions for cross-border payments and settlements. This technology stack primarily includes the RippleNet network and the XRP Ledger.

Ripple's technology stack, including RippleNet and the XRP Ledger, is designed to empower banks and financial institutions to streamline their cross-border payment processes. By leveraging these tools, institutions can enhance their operational efficiency and provide better services to their customers.

>Me: So, in a way, there's no guarantee that XRP as cryptocurrency, available on many exchanges, will be used in the end? Banks could use Ripple's technology stack to create private settlement layer between themselves, without needing the volatile cryptocurrency available to retail?

You are correct in your assessment. While Ripple's technology stack offers significant advantages for banks and financial institutions, there is no guarantee that XRP will be utilized as a cryptocurrency in the long term. Banks could indeed opt to use Ripple's technology to create private settlement layers without relying on XRP.

>Key Considerations
Private Settlement Layers
Custom Solutions: Banks can develop their own private networks using Ripple's technology, allowing them to settle transactions internally without involving XRP. This could lead to more control over their operations and reduce exposure to cryptocurrency volatility.

Reduced Risk: By not using XRP, banks can avoid the price fluctuations associated with cryptocurrencies, which can be a significant concern for financial institutions.

tl;dr - banks could use Ripple's technology stack and avoid XRP all together as the settlement layer
