India has like 1.5B people, and only the best come here. It’s extremely hard to compete for a visa. Legal immigrant populations will always outperform due to the selection process where we only take highly educated and skilled people. Illegals don’t have this selection going on so we aren’t getting their best and brightest from places in Latin America.

The one that genuinely surprises me is the Flips. I’m in a relationship with one, and she’s super sweet and a wonderful person all around, but good god I have no idea how they economically outcompete the Chinese, Taiwanese, and Japanese.
