being a neet was fun, but clock is ticking. i'll need to get my own health insurance eventually, won't be under 26 forever. still at home though and will never be a rent cuck or a new car consooooomer

Ok but seriously what do i do with this? I have zero expenses outside of monthly haircuts and monthly gym membership. Do I upgrade PC? Do I save up for car? Do I just put every dollar of it into link? What do you guys wish you had done with your first paychecks?

putting cash into a car is the same as buying link: essentially flushing your hard earned wage down the shitter.

think about a plan to get away from the wage cage. start your own business washing cars, invest in knee pads for the train station, do whatever it takes, just live like a poor slut until you WAGMI bro

you start saving. build your wealth until you want to make lifestyle changes that you can afford to make.

Always pay yourself first. 10% (more if you can) directly into your crypto or stocks if they’re red, or savings if they’re green and put the savings into them when they go red.

Very based. What are you doing, OP? Are you having fun? Going from neet to employed must be a little rough. Enjoy your tendies bought with your own money though that's what it's all about :)
>>60890445
You put every dollar into $SON of course :)
(You save, and you save, and you save more, and maybe you invest a little here and there and learn the ropes. Only upgrade PC if you seriously care about gaming, otherwise you'll have a 2K+ dollar machine you only use for YouTube or whatever).

this might be a really fucking stupid question but why is saving more important than investing first? or are you just using the terms interchangeably? wouldn't investing help build wealth faster than saving?
>>60890669
>Emergency savings
Aren't emergency savings only needed when you have bills? My expenses are extremely low right now (below $100 a month) so what would the emergency savings be for? I get saving for things like a car or an asset is important but at the moment do I really need an emergency fund asap?
>>60890850
until my parents force me to pay rent and/or buy my own groceries (i don't think that will happen, if it does it would likely only be groceries), that crypto/stocks percentage could be 50%.

Crypto is gambling. Don't treat it as an investment.
Otherwise, emergency funds can come in handy for anything, not just bills. Life can fuck you up one morning and you would need a small cushion to absorb unexpected crap.
When you have a few month's of your mom or pop's expenses you can stop worrying about it. You may need to stop living with them after all.

I wish someone told my retarded younger self to do it. You absolutely need to pay yourself first. Conventional advice is to put it in savings but that's been terrible as everyone knows because 20% of the dollar's purchasing power got wiped out since 2020, so it's better to put it into investments.

Like I said put it in investments when they're in the red, don't do it when it's green (or do, there are multiple investment strategies but this is mine and it works for me.)

this is the best advice you are going to get here. use BTC as a long term savings account. banks are fucking useless and your saved money just depreciates in value.

>Save
If burger or other westerner get an emergency fund, but keep it in cash or a credit union. Bank bail ins are one bad afternoon away. Decide which asset class you think is going to lose the least against collapse and inflation.

You will be consumed, first symbolically on the alter of finance. Later you'll be summoned to one of the new age sacrificial temples larping as battlefields. You were always set to lose, but you have the luxury of guardrails for now.

im in the same situation. i make decent money for my age/experience. i bought some clothes i needed, im saving up for a drivers license. I also give 500 bucks to my mom, because i come from a struggling family. there is always good deeds to be done with leftover cash. otherwise, invest. dont forget to treat yourself from time to time.
