If crypto was actually used for something other than buying pizza once in 2010. Despite all the rabbit holes, all the whitepapers, all the promises, i dont think anything is used.

There's been multiple attempts to instigate pumps and hype but all of those attempts have horribly failed this year. This cycle was a lesson that normies were a REQUIREMENT for bull markets similar to '17 and '21. They simply didn't come back this time, so all pumps will keep failing and bear whales will take over from here.

Equally dangerous is that no one is selling everything anymore. Part of what let Bitcoin get so big is that people used to get a x5 and sell all their coins without thinking "Hm, maybe I should hold onto just 10 of these. You never know!". Now everyone is keeping their "just in case" stacks, resulting in way fewer complete shakeouts.

I don't think normies will come in. 2020-2021 was a unique point in time, the circumstances won't be recreated. Many normies pissed their pants when they saw ETH gas fees during high traffic, or became disillusioned when the 500 DOGE they bought didn't turn into $500k, and have left for good. NFTs didn't help.

AI won. One thing bitcucks don't realize is all the AI superclusters and data centers being built around the world right now is going to make the BTC hash rate look tiny. If any company wants to fuck around with BTC in a year or two, they will easily be able to achieve a 51% attack. Especially when BTC goes back down 60k again.

this time is different because no one on this board invests into memecoins or super lowcaps anymore and 90% here hold coins that have been in the top50 since forever

I genuinely think this cycle we will see good increases in the top 20 maybe top 25 max simply because of crypto 401ks and basket ETFs, but the ones that will really standout will have to provide something of value for big liquidity to pour in

and we definitely have not seen it or felt it yet. That pure frothy FOMO feeling where you feel like if you don't buy THIS SECOND you're going to miss out on generational wealth, and the tippy top is just a few days away. Very rare feeling I've only felt a few times since 2018

In 2021 we literally got FTX and CRYPTO.COM arenas. CEX commercials starring A-list celebrities. Crypto companies sponsoring professional sports team jerseys, billboards, etc. They could've only dreamt of that in 2018.

First, neither my family nor my friends were ever interested in crapto. They didn't care when I was starting out and they didn't care when I took out 300k to buy my own place. Secondly, there's now a lot of institutional interest/investment in this shit, that's why I'm relatively calm. We can start worrying if we dump to fucking 70k or some shit but for now, it's fine. Septembear and Decembear are right around the corner, though...
