They're not debt collectors, they're court workers who are trying to serve you papers. You are being sued. Best to just answer the door and receive the paper. 9 times out of 10 the papers come with a deal to call the phone number and settle out of court for less than what you owe.

I moved out of a place 5 years ago but forgot about the insurance and they still bill a bank account that I forgot all the credentials to access. I don't live in the US anymore though so I don't care. I also didn't cancel my internet since they wanted me to do it over the phone fucking Comcast got those niggers emailing me. How come I can go on a power company's website and click one button that says "stop service" but I need to call during work hours to some nigger to get my internet to stop? Fuck them.

This is the kind of good stuff the FTC was going after. How you can subscribe to a service within seconds online, but to cancel you need to send a carrier pigeon. I remember signing up for a gym, but I supposedly needed to go in-person to cancel it. Like so I moved and I need to get a flight back to my former city to cancel it? Get the fuck out of here. I called my bank and stopped that immediately.
