Thinking about yeeting $400k into VOOG or something similar to try to beat inflation. Units would still spit out ~2k/mo with the extra $200K offset.

This would still cover our living costs but money won't be rotting away.

Feel like I've finally made it since I am a frugal fag and a couple thousand a month and freedom is more important to me than riches, but don't want to go backward.

The wife and I are pretty set on never moving back to the West, so living costs will always be modest.
