What do servers actually do? They take your order, type it in on an ipad and the cooks make it. You'll ask them for something and they'll run out to the alley to smoke and forget about you until it's time to pay. The amount of times I'll finish a ticket and put the food in the window before it'll sit there for ten minutes happens about equally as the servers who run over and bitch about stuff not coming out in 5 minutes (they never out the order in).

I'll get my teeth kicked in on the line for 4 hours straight with no breaks and make about $30 in tips; they'll fuck around and have a section that maybe has one turnover a night and get $200.
