It's just desperation at this point in the cycle. Everyone's aware there's only 3 or so months left of bull maximum before global Depression 2.0 kicks off, so Litecoin is either trying to get one final pump to $400 or they intend to bring XRP down with them. Sour grapes really if you had to ask me.

Litecoin's founder literally dumped on EVERYONE while telling them to hold at almost ATH and posting rocket emojis. Literally the exact same day, just like NANO executives did. LTC is slow and expensive as fuck. No one is going to adopt it and there are dozens of better alternatives which are supply capped and are better in literally every way (cost/speed/tps/etc.). None of them are bitcoin btw.
