I’m aware it’s for thots, zoomers and manchildren. Retards like those are not financially responsible, that’s why I think I should be active on there.

depends greatly on what youre selling, but in general i believe that the social media for business psy-op is promoted by the people who specialize in running social media pages for businesses

I think it's pretty important nowadays. Costumers want to check out if you're legit? They're gonna do it through instagram, google reviews, especialized review websites, faceberg (lot of older boomers still use it) etc. So this means making good photoes of your product and good images. They also want a good communication with said brand, store or restaurant or whatever it is that you're doing. But what I've been seeing these last few years, is that some burger and pizza places sents you (or you check it out on the instagram bio) a link to a menu with their items and you order the delivery directly through there via AI, and you can pay it right then if you want it to. I don't own a business or anything, but I do pay attention to shit my friends say to me, some of them are very good at marketing and the such. Hope I've helped you, fren and if you would articulate it what you want to do, maybe I can help you further.

33yo boomer here with some experience

It highly depends on the product and target audience but jn general it's probably the most crucial thing in the current time

You can make a product successful that isnt new nor has any advantage to its alternative just by marketing it on social media, just look at all these roastiea and their sports clothing brands, its ALL just some chink shit but the brand they build using themselves and stupid rosties following them on instagram or whatever make these brands successful

I’ve been running an ecom in the last 3 years and I will tell you that business presence on social mídia is pretty important for validation (people checking of your business is legit) and for content marketing.
About 20% of my sales comes from posting frequently aligned with my public persona, sales funnel and buying journey.
Also, dont forget to take the paid traffic pill.
You can learn all this for free on YouTube and then do it yourself. Later, when you hire someone, you will know of they are doing a good job or not.
Good luck!
