If I want to reset my Ledger Nano S (OG version) and generate an entirely new seed, what's the best way to go about it?
>Enter/recover existing seed into Nano S Plus
>Reset Nano S (OG)
>Send funds from Nano S Plus to new Nano S seed
Or
>Send funds to Nano S Plus
>Reset Nano S (OG)
>Send funds from S Plus to new S (OG) instance
Reason for this dilemma is that I want a new seed due to paranoia over current seed being exposed at some point in the past, and I don't want to generate a new seed on the S Plus due to the seed extraction firmware which the S (OG) doesn't have

I would never recommend keeping your crypto on an usb stick. It breaks, you lose it or worse it gets stolen and you lose all your crypto. Better to just keep on coinbase

if the usb breaks, is lost, or stolen, you just buy a new one and use your private key to access your wallet

It's not stored on the Ledger, but I suspect you already know that...

Both are fine. The OG Nano S uses a weird derivation path of m/44'/60'/0' so if you enter it on the newer S Plus (or Metamask or any other wallet) which uses the "standard" m/44'/60'/0'/0 path it will show a different address that's empty. The S Plus should have an option for custom derivation path though.
