It's called a distribution/grift curve.

Price levels are set. Insiders get to profit and dump bags intermittently.
One round of insiders does their job by taking bribes to make business deals. THEY DUMP.
Who do the dump to?
Certainly not retail. They don't have the money.
They "dump" to the next round of business people being bribed to institute the operation at the next level.
Then another round. Then another.
It's very easy to tease out what is happening.

A new financial system if you are XRP/Ripple.
It's really the only way a new system can take hold. By greasing skids of everyone involved for decades.

A lot of the biggest bribes are options contracts. The bigger guys get big guarantees for "if" situations.
So..."if we succeed in this, and if this happens...you can buy X tokens at X price until X date."
So you build in guaranteed huge wins for the big guys with basically no risk.

Now, might not work, but it's how it works if/when it works.
