Dfinity has proven themselves to be complete fucking dumbasses. They don't know how to make money. This project will die in the bear and will never come back. They had cool tech but are entirely incompetent on how to get and keep users.
I hope to God that someone figures out of how to create a copy of this project where all the good builders in the eco can migrate to and have access and backing of American liquidity. This eco died and went through so much shit getting built organically only for dfinity to let it die and support blatant scam projects through their sns and neuron fund.
I hope new chain is created to show Dom how's its done but I guess solona has already done that and completely pissed on him and icp

It is literally a VC scam that launched at 750 bucks and dropped 99% before it found support, then insane baggies cheered when it went to 80 bucks like that was some kind of accomplishment.

Atomic swaps aren't possible on icp they would have to create an evm (some project was building this then just broke away from icp entirely). If you can't do atomic swap you can't be faster in swapping. For transactions moving from wallet to wallet is much faster but swapping to any coin icp is much slower than atomic swaps. The defi experience on icp has been horrendous honestly. I know the dexes made due with what they could but icp just wasn't built for defi so it can never compete.
Golden chain would be a chain that keeps all the global standards for a crypto where defi is golden and then also have cheap fully on chain hosting capabilities. I think it can be done and icp showed us part of it but were missing an entirely different half needed for this "world computer" everyone pitches

I used to hold a pretty fair amount of ICP, I was around for the whole moon man grand pump by Christmas ordeal. I used to genuinely think ICP was pretty good until I started digging deeper into it. Too many things Irked me once I did so.
I think the problem with ICP is that it's too far out there and disconnected from current systems to work properly. Too many things are hamfisted to be "on chain" for the only purpose of saying it's "on chain" without any utility to be so.
This was a cool gimmick in 2017, not in the current day. No one cares if random crap is on chain without any purpose of being that way. When it comes to real institutional use cases no one is going fully on chain using ICP either.
Instead, hybrid solutions are going to be used to bridge current systems and on chain systems. ICPlets don't understand that institutions aren't going to take the risk and completely jump ship from their own solidified systems to be on ICP
or something.

Small addition, but I thought the native wallets were ass too. "internet Identity" is retarded and felt like an insecure password, and NNS always just felt like balls. I never got the same sense of security as my standard cold wallets.

Its philosophically anti-crypto, and if I wanted to use philosophically anti-crypto things I'd use the traditional banking system and AWS and then not have to deal with the downsides of decentralisation.

everything is dead that does not have solana defi money until alt season. If ICP has something that pulls in people by then it could move big times otherwise its over after alt season. But even then i couldnt tell you what pulls in the users at this point. Probably a game but the onchain part does not matter to most users so its hard to imagine.

You to be a complete retard or just understand nothing about ai if you think I can even compete. Caffeine all is a wrapper for to instantly deploy on chain. You already have many tools that can do this in web2 and you can already instantly deploy using Claude code in vs. honestly caffeine is probably worst experience than just using Claude code in an ide and deploying from there.
I’m convinced anybody that fell for the caffeine stuff especially after the hackathon are complete fucking retards and don’t know anything about ai which is even more retarded since you’re investing icp for the tech since that is all it has.
