Is GRRR "Alpha"?
Why is the upper middle class in love with globalism
>inflation running hot
>fed cuts rates prematurely, making inflation worse
>dollar dumps
>foreign countries start dumping their depreciating dollar reserves
>dollar dumps even harder
>positive feedback loop of dedollarization
>the more the dollar dumps, the more countries dump their USD reserves, making it dump even more in an infinite loop

So am I retarded or is this a no brainer?
Background: stock ticker is TRON, a reverse merger shit coin pump but owned by the guy who runs TRX, a chinese shit coin that hasn't really ran like binance has. They bought some random company and rebranded it to TRON and bought/gave them 200 million TRX. Stock went from 50 cents to 12 dollars, now sits at 2.88.
But besides all that, don't really care about the actual company.
What I am interested in is the option chain, which exists and is honestly very very interesting to me because there are options out 2-3 years.
Looking at the January 2028 expiry puts specifically. My broker is allowing me to sell naked puts on this thing
The 2.5 put has bids at 1.5. this means I can go sell options to MM with the very high likelihood they expire worthless, or at worst get called and I now own the stock at 2.5, which isn't a terrible deal considering the market cap is ~700m at that level and Justin sun can just decide to pump the shit out of the stock if he uses his many many billions of TRX funds.
Is this a no brainer or am I retarded and not understanding the risk here?

Everything global has to go through the federal government or some company which is already interacting with the federal government to a high degree, which the upper middle class is well situated to benefit first from and often exclusively. Of course they set themselves up nicely. You don't see some foreigner commodity exporter setting up a stall at the local market to sell their barrels of whatever to the locals or setting up a trade directly with customers.

You smiggers haven't quite grasped the reality of the situation. We are going to be seeing new highs every single month.
Price of everything going up. Your rent. Food. Soda pop. Gold. Phones. Electricity. Cars. Fuel. Everything going up. Dollar going down.
Every single penny you don't need for living, invest that shit or lose it in less than 48 months. Its going to get crazier and crazier, we are on a rollercoaster that has literally only just began to take off.
Strap in. SPY will hit 1,000 by the end of next year.
There will be loads of 'Its over 9,000' memes in regards to S&P and then it will dump like nothing we have ever seen.
But ignore all the noise until then. We have at least a year.

The problem is that what we perceive as justice is nowhere near as quick and efficient as crime. Before the Internet, getting insider trading info was difficult, required word of mouth, etc. Now an employee can hop on WhatsApp or Signal and shoot it over to their contacts without issue, and any prosecution for it would take years. Our justice system has become a joke.

FTC is officially suing Ticketmaster
>The Federal Trade Commission and seven states sued Live Nation (LYV) and Ticketmaster for tacitly coordinating with brokers and allowing them to harvest millions of dollars worth of tickets in the primary market. Live Nation and Ticketmaster then sell the illegally harvested tickets at a substantial markup in the secondary market, causing consumers to pay significantly more than the face value of the ticket.

Less likely than complete thermonuclear annihilation. Nothing ever happens, which means things quietly get worse year by year but there's no huge catalyst or death spiral, you're just ever so slightly poorer in real terms.
A few companies might collapse and the markets could turn bearish for 2-3 years after the AI bubble implodes but it will almost certainly not lead to a complete global financial reset, just a recession.

Probably because if you trade on September 1st, the activity would be on your monthly statement. So after the month is over you have like 2 weeks to report it. Trading any other day gets you additional time to file from trade date. Congress I'm sure now just does some data upload. They aren't going to list all their trades manually.

fewer buyers means price has to decrease to get the bonds sold. Bond price and interest rate are inverse. A $100 bond (face value) that sells for $98 is 2% interest rate. No one wants your bond at $98 so you have to lower the price to say $96 which is a 4% interest rate. The government needs the money, so they need to sell bonds to borrow the money. If the interest rate is getting too high then the big banks are instructed to buy the bonds to keep the price from going to low. They then sell the bonds to the fed which cant print infinite money, so it cost the banks nothing, and in reality they sell the bonds to the fed at higher rates to make a profit. It is just a big game maed to look complex/official to keep the game going.

Understand the business, the sector, follow the company, especially the CEO. A new CEO can destroy the company, especially a DEI hire. You can play it safe by buying ETFs until you want to buy a single stock to also invest in, but single stocks can tank for no reason and stay down for long periods before returning to normal. If find a "hot" stock just put a little money on it and learn from the experience. You don't make money if you never sell it and it tanks, so learn to capture profits.

Do you know what a PE ratio is? If it's positive, that means the company is making a profit, and guess what, PE ratios are much much lower outside the US. Profit is profit, no matter if it comes from a flashy tech boring transportation.

It's more like 2, they were doing great before the Global Financial Crisis. That's back when the EU had a bigger economy than America and was growing faster too. Now America has a larger economy than the EU even in PPP terms and all of Europe even including Russia and Turkey in the definition in nominal terms.

Russia's demography is too bad for them to really manage that and their economy's already skidding. Turkey's actually had a fertility collapse lately and they're now pretty much in-line with the European average, their population's barely even growing anymore. Not really sure what that has to do with my post but yeah, only brought up Russia and Turkey because without them the US just eclipses Europe's economy even more. It's kind of crazy how rapidly they fell behind, when I was a kid there were talks about them potentially becoming a new superpower.

just because it cut doesn't mean things aren't restrictive. trajectory does matter but rates are still high and dampening economic activity. inflation has many causes and amplifiers, velocity of money is one, which is related to economic activity, which high rates address, but money supply is another, and quantitative tightening directly reduces it.
i very much doubt we'll get deflation, but cathie wood predicts it and i wouldn't dismiss her opinion. basically it means the fed is still hawkish. qt is good, reverses the dangerous financialization of the deficit, and more room on the fed's balance sheet means the next time they have to do something so drastic (hopefully never) the effects are less problematic. at least that's what i think. it also increases the supply of bonds, something that has been dealt with fine so far, but could exacerbate a shock to the financial system were that to occur (hopefully it does not).

Well that's a choice. Like previous anon said, Europe fell behind but that too was a choice. It's a geriatric continent and if we want to uphold the current living standards we can't spend money like China or US do. Europe is too democratic to forgo the current social dragnet. There are couple of countries doing well though, Poland is going to surpass Japan in GDP per capita soon so maybe they can set an example.
Pendulum will eventually shift, it shifted in the Soviet union too. You just can't get that lost economic growth back but you can still grow at incredible rates if there is political will

I like the direction the fed is going too. I think really the only mistake Powell has made is thinking inflation was transitory in 2021, would love to pick his brain and see what the Fed was seeing to think that back then.
Anyway, the yield curve has been flat to negative on the long end for a long time, I think in large part due to QE. With the Fed having done so much QT the curve keeps steepening and going back to more normal spreads

You do not need to go full retard, you can sell some stocks and put 40 to 60 percent down so the monthly payment is low, and you get to take advantage of writing off some taxes. But as a home owner you get to pay insurance if its not cancelled and ever increasing property tax, plus pay for all repair and regular maintenance. Make a list of all the gain and losses and decide. If your portolio is big enough you can can just rent and move whenever you like and let the landlord pay for everything.
