there are some arb opportunities between polymarket and kalshi, search for it on twitter "polymarket, kalshi arbitrage", i'm not doing It btw

What do you mean, like building a price oracle that you can trust and having a bot do arbitrage trades?
Anonymous (ID: u1LPH6rf) No.61074361
>>61074310
you don't need a price oracle, you get prices from on-chain data directly

I was going to look into alt data arb after I flesh out defi infra. im hoping between JIT liquidity, multi hop arb and a bunch of other flash loan magic stuff I might be able to find a worthwhile thing.

I've done some but not networks where the price is on chain. Had to calculate myself straight off the mempool because prices you get from pyth are too old for arb shit. Doing it right has been a tremendous lift in my experience.

yes
specially across L2s

so you were running an arb strategy? on what chain? I’ve been doing only Polygon it’s taken so long to develop. wrote everything in rust, it’s fast and can process lots of data cheaply though. hope to add more chains over time and basically build a big arb dragnet and upgrade infra and find more niches

I never bothered thinking it was pointless cuz big money would’ve already grabbed any easy arbitrage but I just wanted to try first hand. seems often there’s too many people thinking exactly like that and there’s money to be taken. saw some dumbass Redditor a few months ago running a very slow python bot and making a few bucks a day so it can happen

cross chain? seems so sketch versus using flash loans intra-chain but probably way less competition

how much are you making a day average? I’ve been in develop mode for so long without even knowing if it’ll even make a dollar

Flash loans obviously can't do JIT liquidity, since you need to return the funds within the same transaction and thus cannot frontrun whatever transaction you're frontrunning...

correct I’ve just been including JIT liquidity in the list of shit to look after I get the basic infra done

You should look into Jupiter that's what I am trying now. I just found out about it but I think I wasted my time writing a bunch of shit in rust that doesn't matter I'm kind hopping it doesn't work so I didn't waste my time. But I'm in shock at how braindead easy it is to use and I found a bot that I'm trying to copy on a smaller scale

>how much are you making a day
not going to disclose that, it would be trivial to find my address
I can tell you that it's not much, but it's also not low
it's also not every day you can do it

The main problem I see with this is that I doubt these inefficiences show up very frequently with fast bridges (e.g. Across) since the quotes are all fairly stable, and you can only reasonably arb them on slow bridges (e.g. Arbitrum's bridge), which take forever and really limit the profit potential of the bot. The difference between arbing a 0.2% discrepancy every 6 hours and every 7 days is quite large.
Anonymous (ID: y0C706Np) No.61079773 >>61080811
>>61077843
but you don't arb them through bridges
Anonymous (ID: 7r6O3EyV) No.61080811
>>61079773
How do you arb the same asset through different chains without bridging them? I'm clearly confused here.

>it's also not every day you can do it
is your process all automated, scanning 24/7? basically my concerns are said by this anon here >>61077843

and I also don't understand how you'd arb cross chain without bridges..
