I had a very low leverage long open. I just barely managed to cut my losses before everything was wiped out and got out with $20k left to my name. I literally don't have anything else now.

I'm never using leverage ever again, at least I didn't get liquidated. If crypto continues at least I can get out of this cycle with high five figures I guess... Basically all my hopes and dreams are gone now though

1.5 years ago I cashed out 70k to my bank for living expenses. That was the last time we had any type of significant "alt season".
Of that 70k, I only have 5k left in my bank, I have until the end of 2026 to make some good gains again or Im fucked. Id rather kill myself then go back to being a wagie.
It was looking really good for a while that we would get a good end of 2026 so I was hopeful. Then today I lost almost 40% of my entire portfolio in less than an hour. I do not feel good, if this bull is over, my life is over.

I knew this shit was on life support, and believe it or not, I set up my sell orders this morning in hopes of breaking even. Once it first dipped today I decided to take the loss and sold it all. Lost about 3k. Felt bad at the time, but I feel a bit smarter now. Just some survivors guilt.
I'll consider buying Bitcoin again if we see 70k or something, but until then I'll stick to HYSAs...

Had what I thought were safe low-leveraged positions on BTC and a handful of alts, just trying to gear the portfolio over the long run rather than short-term trading. Stupidly hadn’t set stops as it would have taken something like a 25% plus sudden drawdown to liquidate me. Needless to say that’s what I got, wiped out £100k. I’ve still got £425k in my stocks and shares, mostly in leveraged precious metals so that held up (so far), but fuck. Down like 20-30% on the last six months now and it’s all thanks to crypto, I’m fully out of that now. Hoping silver goes to $100 and I can make it all back. Might reallocate some into shares in miners, coin base and the like if it recovers, but I think there’s a reasonable chance BTC dumps again on Monday, stages a bit of a recovery back to a bit over 120k, and then rolls over and bleeds into the cycle low.
