one of the many many signs that we are in a big bubble that i thought lately about, is the fact that nvdia who design the chips that LLMs run on has like 10 times the valuation of the biggest most hyped LLM company (open ia), the thing that is supposedly justifying the demand for all this chips which make no sens (both nvidia and open ia are massively over valued), you might say that Nvidia has more revenue then the none existant ones of open ia, the problem is that the sustainability and growth for nvdia revenue hinge on the necessity of LLMs providing far more value then the cost of chips ie it make no sens for the tool to be far more valued then the thing that the tool is used for, i get that nvdia is selling shovels in a gold rush (which proves my point since the value of the gold being extracted at least had more values then all the shovels being sold), but the point of this saying is that only ones who made real money where the people not dumb enough to fall for gold rush bubble but today people have made both the gold rush and the shovel sellers into bubbles by acting as if the selling of shovels business would both massively grow and be sustainable in the long run even if they admit that it is taking advantage of a temporary bubble by giving less value to the gold that those shovel are used to extract
