Your best bet is to keep them pristine, if you break them out the Silver proofs lose whatever collector's value they had and may as well get mixed into ordinary junk Silver (though I don't think dealers want them being mixed into junk). Last part is important. We're I am asset swapping for equal value isn't a taxable event regardless of amount so I can swap 10oz of platinum into 1500 oz of silver and never trigger an event to the IRS.

Next you have the 380 paper contracts per one ounce of silver and the 95 or so gold paper contracts for one ounce of gold. Then they also have to manipulate the price down nonstop and have even been caught a dozen times. Every Friday they tamp the price down by shorting the market and for a very long time they held it under 30. See Rostin Benham and what he said. They are deceivers.
