At my white collar job, they sometimes got me doing the most basic manual labor. the products are high value, so they refuse to hire a minimum wage wagie to do it. I for one welcome our new robot wagies.

Warehouse niggers better be sweating those Amazon warehouses are getting crazy. I worked as an electrician to help build a 3.2 mil sq ft warehouse, except there’s only like 30 wagies that work there. 1000’s of roomba looking robots with shelves on top move shit around through a spiderweb of conveyer belts instead.

They’ve moved away from storing books in their warehouses and had us install a 6000 amp hookup for a machine that prints books on demand.

They still store books from other publishers, the print on demand thing is for their own publisher content and print on demand service (you can publish books yourself on amazon)

Lmao why do economic illiterates think automating away jobs is a bad thing?
Its called creative destruction.
New jobs get created as old ones die out.
Prices will be forced down dramatically and new jobs will probably only require you to work one day a week for the same pay you get today working 5 days.

I am 90% certain I will end up doing repairs on these things.

The devil you know.

I can understand normies living a life with kids who have no financial give, one unexpected even from bankrupcy.
Though that is probably mostly overblown, I think even in the even of a catastrophic labor market failure we have the will and means of sustaining ourselves until the market figures it out.

Or prices will continue to inflate dramatically and for reasons to do with productivity and GDP growth the new jobs will require 7 days to earn what we would have earned before in one.
