window guy said I need $20,000 of new windows, after I asked him if he does window cleaning
air conditioner repair guy said I need $25,000 of new AC+heater, when my AC stopped working, I replaced 2 parts for $75 total and it started working again

Brother, you run a business, you are also just trying to fuck people out of money. I'm saying this as someone who loves to fuck people out of money, myself. Luckily, there's enough retards out there who will buy literally any bullshit if it's marketed correctly or placed conveniently in front of their fat fucking faces, so you will fuck more money out of the people than the people who will try to outfuck you.

Oh sweet summer child. No one knew about or wanted a fucking smartphone, before Steve Jobs came along. Creating a need artificially through marketing (just placing a product on a window or on the internet is already enough) and making people believe they need that shit is totally not fucking them out of money, yes. That's why most marketing is directed at women, they love getting fucked - out of money.

Most small businesses are run by midwits that do provide a service that is valuable but they don't have the long term vision to connect the dots that trying to fuck people or cash in a big sale in the immediate term fucks them over.

Recently my wife bought four wheelers at a place we'd been looking at forever. I told her get what she likes, well one of them she liked and it's a fucking Raptor 450l with a clutch and basically jumps from 0-30 in a half second.

Second it got off the truck I was like "who sold you this, you won't want that." Now they are hassling her over a trade in trying to get her to take a way cheaper model in straight trade.

You morons, we're rich and we're going to tell everyone not to buy from you.
Someone walks in and buys $20,000 in fourwheelers just randomly and instead of catering to them in every way you try to back end fuck them?
They'll never be big and will wallow in misery while I am rich with a long time frame and continue to grow and grow.

Same with contractors. Young ones trying to overcharge...IDIOT, you over charge once you are so popular and trusted everyone is happy to pay it.
Not when you are 27 with no reputation.

My dad did garage doors and openers most if his life and never fucked anyone over, which is why he always had business throughout the year.

He always did free estimates and people would call him out after some asshole would tell them they need a new $3,000 garage door. My dad would look and most of the time they just needed a new opener for $200.

He also would point out how shitty the construction workers were (literally building tilted garage door openings), the dumbass electricians running wire where it shouldn't be and letting it dangle, or how the last retard that built their garage door put the tracks in crooked.

Instead of that they insist the best they can do is a fourwheeler literally $7,000 less than this one.

We'll spend the next $20,000 elsewhere and tell our rich friends that fuck those guys.

Small businesses have always been fucking you, they always charge higher prices because they don't have the volume so you have to pay more to support them. And for some reason everyone is acting like you have to support small businesses just because. Fuck no I don't, they're charging me more. If anything they should be charging less because they have less space to lease and fewer employees to pay. But every time their prices are 50% more.
Why should I eat that cost?

Blackberry predated the first iPhone and it was a wildly popular platform for years. During that time there was also a myriad of other experimental phones that touted a smartphone-like feature or two as their selling point: usb to PC, touch screens, browsers/internet, qwerty keyboards of all kinds, games more complicated than Snake, etc.
The "cell phone" was already rapidly evolving into the "smart phone". The iPhone consolidated all of those features into a single product that, at the time, was jack of all trades AND master of all. For most people. The only caveat was that people had to make a lifestyle shift towards Apple productsโ€”hence the Android/iOS rivalry, which pops off when Android emerges as a competitor shortly after the first iPhone.
The "smartphone" has been on this track ever since. "Do everything and do it the best."

I get what you want to say. But in your example, to say "nobody wanted an smartphone before Apple psyop'd the public" is fucking dumb.

Meanwhile, in my regular business, the one I've made millions off of, I get out of my office to help an old lady that chose the wrong cabinet hinges personally and let her exchange her for free and tell her thank you for coming on a $15 sale.

There's alot of hostility against businessmen, its like these poor copers think that just because you're running a business it means that you're swimming in money.

Cope. There are only so many choices. We'd discussed it before and looked at them online.
The consequences were VERY LOW to me. It's called risk analysis. I'm running a business. She went over there on her time and arranged it.
Legit would have cost me most of the 2,000-3,000 just to leave the office for 3 hours to go make the deal.

And again, it's not about what you think...this is the main issue of why people fail at business. It's what I think. The customer.
My wife is a woman neurologist. She already whined and cried to a group of sympathetic nurses and doctors that all have money about how they treated her poorly and a meanie man tried to screw her.
The guy lost. FOR SURE HE LOST.

Two of my hunting buddies (I don't hunt) that buy these things every few years were by my house mirin' by chance and I wasn't gonna be a woman like my wife and boohoo, but they were there and like "GOD DAMN" about the 450r and just by chance they were explained that the place in XXXX are faggots that just want a quick buck.
So they lost those guys too already.
There are 5 stores within 30 minutes.
Limited rural customer pool.
They've been badmouthed to 30 people so far, mostly by my wife, but by me to two specifically potential customers.

You guys and your imagination.
I have tractors, forklifts, trucks, heavy equipment, and run a large manly facility with table saws, carousels, warehouses, and literally every tool you can name.
We weld here for fun because we haven't gotten to in awhile.

This was for convenience. I now know they can't be trusted at all so it's over for them
Fourwheelers ARE a woman purchase, kek.
They are cookie cutter, brand new, easy purchases. That's what you send a woman for.

When I go out I'm looking a forklift or a piece of equipment that A MAN actually needs to survey in person.

Yes. I'm posting in an online forum and getting (you)s.
HOWEVER, these are objective facts that I am rich and a potential customer that was run off.
How am I supposed to say it?
The details are what makes it the story. It's the entire point here.

When I have the home designer from the rich neighborhood of the rich town come in like I did a few years back, I bent the fuck over backwards.
Everything could be returned, "take these to try" etc.
She's been locked in for years now and spends a few thousand every couple months on the high end stuff.

I don't even cringe if she has a $500 return. I behave as if it's no big deal at all and I'm quite happy, it's "no trouble at all" and "my pleasure" to take this return for you.

>no employees, only 2 contractors left
>no warehouse
>no shipping that goes up randomly
>no gov taxes that go up every year
>no money stolen off the business revenue (claiming they don't have VAT tax in US, yet one school tax is an equivalent of a revenue VAT tax).
>no making me pay quarterly taxes out of my small business
>no making me reporting taxes monthly
Fck this gov taxation shit that mass kills small businesses.

Could have come up with a better example, a smart phone is essentially a laptop more-so than it is a phone. Hell it's also a camera more-so than a phone.

No one would need "convincing" for that sort of a utility. It's smaller than a laptop with the only downside being it's shit for typing, there is an innate value for its utility.

No, fucking people out of their money would be making said phone with planned obsolescence

Where was I schooled?
I'm literally here schooling people on how to be successful. I didn't make the thread.
I repeated a recent episode where someone could have made a lot of long term money but instead chose to try and get as much as they can at the very instant because they have no long term understanding of the consequences.

Now, maybe he values telling someone rich to fuck off. That's actually fine and more power to him actually.
But to me it wreaks of insecurity and low self esteem and it for sure has consequences in the long term.
But if he really had contempt for me, well thought out contempt, he didn't hurt me at all. So it was pointless.

I didn't even say anything to him about consequences. I left.

The people that matter most and have self respect don't threaten or demand anything. They leave and you never see them again.

It's hilarious how butthurt you are about being presented an actual business scenario.

I'll irritate you more with something that just happened.
I'm in the biggest nicest building in town. I started a used bookstore as hobby years back.
I went slow and steady and at this point, even though I'm clearly rich, I get called once a week to be given books.
I've gotten probably 5,000 free books from people around locally.
How?
Because I am about to go do the pick up from an old lady for whatever she has and I am thanking her profusely for her contribution on what isn't a money maker but good for the community.

I'M NOT TO GOOD TO GO HELP AN OLD LADY FOR WHAT IS NOTHING.
Over time this works very well because people, rich or poor, just want to be treated right.

A month ago, local auction company that knows about my bookstore and knows me as totally legit calls me...they've got 2,000 books, good $5,000 collection easy.
Can I just come pick them up for free they say? It's just too much to piece meal out and GUESS WHAT?
The widow knows me from when I spoke at Rotary club about my community bookstore.

This is how you win. You win by trusting the process and not being greedy.
People refuse to see it when they are capable because they don't want to work.
People that are low IQ can't see it.
Anonymous (ID: r1wGy0sG) No.61130645
>>61130618
Why am I at Rotary talking about my bookstore?
Because if I'm at Rotary shilling my big business I look like an absolute fuckhead.

How did I get invited to Rotary? Because of the bookstore. Why? Because a former Judge in town that runs Rotary learned about the bookstore from the book club.
It all plays in. Inability to see one thing lead to another is a point of failure for most small businesses.

I just ant the other guy to see the folly of his ways really and this is my cope.
He's already way ahead of folks like yourselves and he just needs to have a little more faith in his long term prospects and he'll make it.
But it may be too late and it hurts me a bit.
We are in a fight for basically everything and the one guy with enough spirit to have his own business and get customers just gives it back to a bigger guy like that for basically nothing.
Sad and many such cases.
