Elastic scaling finally live on polkadot main net... 2.0 is now delivered, parachains can now scale horizontally over multiple cores, or shrink to a fraction of a core. Hopefully this should see more efficient resource allocation across the network and allow more small scale experimentation. So far however I haven't seen a good UI for coretime sales, regionx is the only functional one I've found and it's very rough.

Yes, you'll be able to run !ink smart contracts on hub that'll convert to PVM. You'll also be able to run EVM smart contracts (That I think will also convert to PVM??? Not sure about this one).

Not sure to be honset. I just know they're migrating to the hub due to low usage.

Nope. As far as I know everything will be on the same core. And at the same time hub can purchase more cores in order to scale if needed.

Look at the pic related. On the Polkadot 2025 version. The big DOT is "hub". Do you see how 3 diamond shapes connect into the hub with a blue line? Those are 3 cores. At the start the hub will only have 1 core and if needed it'll scale if there's more demand.

The core division aspect doesn't work yet. I think that that's part of JAMs functionality. In a sense JAM is an optimization of elastic scaling and core time. So, (I think) that after JAM you'll be able to host multiple projects inside a core.
