I've got into this series and these threads by total accident. I remember I misclicked one of these threads on the catalog a looong time ago and I saw how enthusiastic people seemed about Strike Witches, so I decided to check it out and I've been in these threads since.

I'd say that these threads are one of the few reasons I still use this website.

Since we're getting all sentimental, I actually remember how I got into SW. One day in 2017, I was scrolling through /c/, and someone posted a pic of Lucchini that said, "lucchini a cute." It was like love at first sight. I stopped to do something else, but I kept thinking about how cute that Lucchini character was until I had to go to Danbooru and look through all of her pics. I eventually watched the shows and all, and now I'm here.

I remember how I got into SW, I had always known about Hartmann, almost since I can remember, my parents knew i was into aviation even as a kid and they bought me some books, strangely one they bought me was all about ww2 aces, and the one ace they focused on was Hartmann so he became a child hood icon for me, I read everything I could about him. Fast forward to my teens and i'm on /a/ and I saw this wall paper. I saw the Black tulip design on her striker unit, and I knew I had to know more. watching episode 7 already knowing the background of it made it exceptionally hilarious to me. This show was made for the true connoisseur.

I'm hardly as much of a thread regular here as I used to be, but I got into strike witches around the end of 2019. It was the last show I watched that year and the first one I watched in 2020. I got started with it rather soon after I got into GuP and when I heard that Road to Berlin got announced I thought now is probably a good time to get started. Like with both of the other anons I also originally got drawn in by one of the girls. For me it was Lynne that got me interested. Her eyebrows in particular (but also her bust) did it for me, which reminded me of Yuzu in GuP, who I quite like. Lynne is still my favorite to this day

I watched an episode or two of SW back in the summer of 2010, but didn't get into it then.

Rewatched in 2020 and fell in love with the series. My longtime interest in WWII aviation helped. All the little details in the show really make it stand out for an aviation buff; the show really is made with love. Road to Berlin aired later that same year, keeping up the momentum nicely.

There are no bad witches, but my favorite girls are the Karlslanders along with Eila and Shirley.

I'm too far off the deep end, but hear me out, I've already gotten my cast together, its a western hemisphere focused witch wing and they are part of of the joint pacific naval group. They travel the seas hunting an elusive and dangerous neuroi hive, the first hive that can cross water. Their base is the Habakkuk a floating Ice palace/aircraft carrier/iceberg.

Geena is one of my favorite Witches. She's so cool!

Her voice is beautiful too. Her songs are a treat to listen to.

Geena is definitely another cutie.

It's always inspiring to see artists who have drawn Strike Witches for so many years, especially the ones who have been doing it for 10+ years. I imagine that they got into Strike Witches and drawing in their teenage years and it's cool that they're still passionate enough in their adult lives to continue their interests.
