Recently I've been wanting to both travel and cosplay more. Thing is I also deleted all my social media and really don't want it back, but I don't really know any other way to keep up with cosplay events or where to even begin looking up what other cons and events are in my area.

Are there any good sites or alternatives when it comes to finding new cons or keeping up with events? I really don't want to be on socials anymore if I don't have too.

Instagram! I follow a bunch of normal cosplayers (not the influencer variety) and they usually post about where they're going to and what they're cosplaying as so I'll become aware of that convention. And then I go through the tags and follow people going to cons im going to or am interested in and they'll post about stuff relatively in areas I've been in or am okay with going to

I mean you can look for flyers in your area, talk to photographers and cosplayers in person to see what cons are worth going to, and usually local cons will set up tables at other local cons to advertise.
