WeebCon is a week away. First time here since it's normally in Texas. I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes.
I'm surprised they expanded to multiple locations considering the weeb store that funded the first few weebcons closed.

If it's like the two Weebcons I went to here in Texas (I only went when it was at the local Gaylord and not at its new venue this year), expect a really good guest list and a really underwhelming dealer room.
>>10953860Just looked up their guest list and its actually pretty good. JP actors for Sanji, Franky, and Miku's voice sample will be there.
Panels aren't looking that great
THE GOOD:
>venue was clean and safe
>decent guests (if you like English VAs...)
>management was competent
>good line management, lines went fast
>dealer's room had a lot of variety
>hotels were clean and well managed
>retro gaming room was well run and a lot of fun
THE BAD:
>The fucking app. Nobody wants to use this piece of shit
>panels (this is to be expected)
>parking pricing (20 dollars a day is rape)
>Only a few Japanese VAs
>Autograph pricing was rape-tier
THE UGLY:
>few walk able food options, very few cheap food options
>Indianapolis can be boring
>after dark options weren't interesting
>no rave?
THE VERDICT:
I was there all weekend, overall not too bad. They need more well known Japanese VAs and good panels to justify the cost. There is room to improve, and the staff seem competent.
>>10954334>Autograph pricing was rape-tierI paid around $100 for Dan Green and Eric Stuart together at a different Weebcon several years ago, can confirm
>>10954334It seems like there were no panels run by attendees.
We went walking around the city and there were plenty of places to eat in 10 minute walk.
>>10954350wish I had wifi, I would have been game to explore with you. Apparently there's a bunch of tunnels under the city where all the homeless people live.
