We have archives of gorgeous cosplays, craftsmanship contests, Yaya Han books, tutorials, endless Pinterest boards of “perfect” costumes. But where is the Hall of Shame? Where’s the gallery of the most cursed, horrifying, nightmare-fuel, convention-floor atrocities ever put to fabric?

I don’t mean noob-tier “bad” cosplays, either — I mean the absolute wildest things you’ve ever seen:

The guy who cosplayed as a full-on flesh-colored horse with no pants.

That Silent Hill Pyramid Head made entirely out of duct tape and sadness.

The Mecha-Kirby with functional fog machine that got him banned from the fire marshal.

You know 99% of the stuff that's happened on or to gulls at cons is a drop in the ocean compared to the flood of shit spewed from other communities. The drama rule was only implemented here due to the fact anons, who may or may not have even been at the event, kept stirring shit for lol's against anons/namefags/etc. As an older fag from 2012 and here still now, there has been a lot of shit that's all boiled down to "shit I made up" or mountains out of mole hills. Hell, I am sure when /mlp/'s events take the crown for cringe stories that you're most likely looking for. Most every story on cgl these days I've heard and followed up on posted on cgl came out as a complete nothing burger or amounts to 1 of 2 things;
1) someone slept with someone else this makes said person a slut, sexpest, rapist(if alcohol was consumed during the day at any point), or creepy individual
2) some anon ripped off sharing a room and "forgot" to pay them back or straight up skipped a bill causing them to get shit on for everything

Long gone are the days of tumblr drama, horny orbiters still exist but have mostly fucked off to bigger communities on discord, political /who are you voting for/ spats, and so on. This thread would have probably had some things to talk about pre-covid, but if you're reaching for events that far back you might need to seek help. Probably the only notable thing that's happened on cgl was that guy in the midwest who supposedly killed himself in front of others because he was about to turn 30 or something. Outside of that you might actually just want to lurk reddit for drama and cringe

No, drama was banned mostly due to the California gulls drama overflowing as that state had the most cons yearly and everyone had some random story. You must be new around these parts.
