Did anyone go?
>my thoughts
This year was my first year at Anime Matsuri. I'm honestly dissapointed. I had my expectations high when I heard they were the biggest convention in Texas. I bought the 4 day pass and didn't even go the last day. I had already gotten into a fight with my friends, and I had discovered the controversy behind Matsuri.
A lot of empty tables where artists were supposed to attend, overpriced everything for the vendors and the people attending, and not that many special guests due to its controversy.
I had fun while I was there though. A few pros were.. Taking photos with cool cosplayers, buying figures and posters despite the horrific price, pickleball, wrestling show, and the FLOW concert.
But overall, it really isn't the best. Yes there was a bunch of people but it just didn't feel right. Tokyo X and AnimeVerse Fest was much more fun. Will I go to AM next year? Yes. But only for like 2 days.
