Thoughts on Astronaut "food"?
I don't care what anybody says, I love this shit
Not actually what astronauts eat first of all.
The time where astronauts only got freeze dried stuff and tube food are long gone.
They get actual food that gets mostly reconstituted with water but with the occasional real deal, including water and everything.
More weight, but when they don't get actually yummy food humans soon start getting grumpy and moody. In the end they simply did not eat that mush anymore and preferred hunger to it, which made them lose strength for their actual work.
>>21393396I wish for a time pre chatgpt. They're such bores
But for ice cream specifically they probably get this kind of stuff, for the lack of freezers ("Just open a window and hang it out into space") on board and weight.
But everything else, they actually get normal food.

>>21393425Here's a fact: acronyms stand for something. You cock.
>>21393427there's no point having an acronym if you're going to say all the full words
these days freeze dying might be more interesting to have higher quality dried spices for cooking, maybe like fruit powders which you could use in fancy cocktails
>>21393437Yes, however when writing it, there's no need to use the indefinite articles as you have. Now, can you just ever so slightly fuck yourself, please?
>>21393427>>21393437NPC is initialism thoughbeit
Wasn't all about sound?
If there follows a spoken vowel you have to use "an", no mattter if it's an acronym or whatever?
That's why I would say "an NPC", it sounds a bit strange because the first letter is also an N, so you say "an an", but without it it sounds even stranger ("A NPC", eewww).
>>21393460Look mate, nta, but nobody is going to take you seriously if you use the 'word' "thoughbeit". People will take you for a tranny and we all know their brains are scrambled and they're mentally ill
>>21394580I saw one banging ur mom.
I finally tried some after my store had a product like this in stock. I tried the freeze dried gummy worms. They were terrible.
Definitely try it once to satisfy your curiosity. But they were disappointing.

>>21393413It would be a deep insult if it were accurate, but the only reason I can think of for him to say that is because it was longer than 2 sentences, so he's just genuinely fucking stupid.
>>21393390 (OP)>>21393392They gave us this stuff in like 1998 at school when we learned about space and astronauts. I wrote a letter to the JPL about my love for rockets and they sent me a "manual" about some of their rockets and a small space shuttle keychain. It was really cool.
>>21393392Had this "ice cream" as a kid at the Imaginarium store in the mall. It was expensive for how small it was. Had to bug my mom to get it. I heard about it years ago and wanted to try. It was so disappointing and disgusting. I can still remember the nasty taste 30 years ago.
>>21393390 (OP)Isn't this shelf stabilized garbage like especially bad for you for some reason or another? Like the freeze dried candy that's getting popular now is basically the same thing but without the stabilizer and preservatives that make it poison.
>>21393390 (OP)I remember eating the Australian variety of these back when I was a kid and really enjoying it.
They were super expensive though so my dad never bought them again. :(
I actually genuinely liked the ice cream after getting some as a gift or something so then in a science museum I asked to get a couple different ones and they were so bad I couldn't finish them, the one I remember was "french fries" that was literally like a block of tiny strips of potato crushed together, shit was pretty gross lol
>>21394599Freeze dried fruit is pretty good at least.
>>21394943I know those stores are stupid and went out of business because they sucked but I still want to go back
>>21393390 (OP)if its freeze dried its good, if its retort mre pouch it tastes like shit. they use both
i have 80 packs of freeze dry stuff for hiking
>>21393392they dont eat that tho, too much crumbs in space and its a no no. they dont even eat bread because of crumbs just tortillas
