Yeah, it's okay I guess. It has to be done correctly or it's just fried food. I really try to avoid fried carbs.

I liked tempura until I tried it for real in Kyoto and it was not very good. Super oily and way too fishy. Not a fan and won’t do it again

So I'm not crazy. I spoke nipponaise as a kid cuz my cousins are halfjap and I was practically raised by my Kobe-born aunt and I coulda sworn that this was the case but when I start hearing wypipo saying teMpura years later, I started to question my childhood memories.
