I think I have pretty bad autism that makes me crave certain foods but not because of the taste but because of the consistency of certain foods. I love the consistency of soggy cereal or soggy graham crackers with milk. Is there even a healthy alternative for something like this? Like what is something that can be soggy like cereal or graham crackers with milk but healthy? I can't even remotely think of anything. I tried something like oatmeal but unfortunately I think something in the oats really fucks up my stomach. My suspicion is that the oats have a lot of fiber which makes me feel bloated. Lately I have also been on a diet because I wanted to cut some weight and I have definitely started leaning out but I miss the soggy foods. Is there anything like it that I could eat while in a caloric deficit?

You could get an unsweetened bran flake or shredded wheat cereal. Sometimes I crave textures like this too but recently I wondered if it's because it's fibrous and I have some constipation.

If you chop up a salad and marinate it overnight in the dressing it gets a kind of soggy texture. Some people hate that but I kind of like it. Maybe a soup with anything starchy. Beans, pasta, potatoes, and overcook it a bit.

I honestly wish I could get a bit of constipation. I don't know if I am not eating enough fiber or what but my bowel movements have been soft and mushy for months now. Main reason I even started this diet is because I wanted to try and find out what is messing with my gut. I thought I was lactose intolerant or gluten allergic but honestly, I can eat lactose stuff and gluten and not feel any distress. Its just the day after that the bowel movement is uncomfortable. Even then its not full blown diarrhea. I just want a healthy gut. Some of my friends have told me that you would know if you are lactose intolerant or gluten allergic because your stomach would have literal pain. I almost never have stomach aches.

Guess what.

Nothing wrong with soggy carbs, but if you're only tackling your weight from the dietary side, you should also do some resistance training and use that cereal for energy (at some point in the future after you've lost a bit more weight and can incorporate more carbs back into your diet).

Do you eat a lot of fatty meat or butter? Sometimes that causes it for me. Or I had a similar issue a long time ago from coffee even after I stopped drinking it. Eating some high percentage dark chocolate actually helped, like 85%+. Or just eating nuts might work too. They're high in fiber and dense and it's unlikely you'd have soft poop after eating a lot of them.

Chicken soup with crackers would probably scratch that itch and might be lower cal.

Hmm.. I do eat a lot of chicken thighs which I guess are the fatty part of the chicken? How much more fatty are they compared to breasts? I only eat chicken thighs because they taste better and are harder to fuck up when cooking a lot of them.

If you are autistic, just eat whatever you like to eat.
If you are not autistic, just eat whatever you like to eat.
Nobody cares unless you go out in public and start abusing people because you think they should do things your way.
