Be serious. Eat by itself? Put on noodles or rice? Please help.

Yes. Noodles or rice. It's good just added to pretty much any asian food. Add it to ramen even. But all you need is steamed white rice and some soy sauce. It's a great combo.

Yeah, it's great with fatty meat you've grilled...oh, wait. The picture says 'Vegetarian Kimchi'. Throw it in the trash. Kimchi needs fish sauce at the least!

I see. Didn't know that. I've been wanting to try kimchi but I'm a dumb American and I don't know where to begin. I'm thinking either a Korean restaurant or H-Mart but I have no idea what kimchi to buy at H-Mart or even if packaged kimchi is good.

>Make rice seasoned well
>Either layer kimchi on top or chop up and mix in (maybe with some spam if you want it extra hearty)
>Add egg(s) on top
This in part got me through college thanks to cheap asian grocery stores near campus.

Nothin' wrong with store bought kimchi. H-Mart will have a ton of selections. Buy one that's just cabbage to start, make sure to note the brand. Try other brands until you find a spice level and mix you like. Then try other types of kimchi, because there is a ton of variety.

>I have no idea what kimchi to buy
Buy smaller containers of different brands until you find one you really really like.
It's like peanut butter or milk, you need to find your favorite brand through trial and error.

get used to it as a small, cold side dish first. (the heat from the rice cooks the cabbage) this changes the texture and flavor profile immensely

In case you're actually new to kimchi,>>21399085 is exaggerating but expect INSANE farts if you eat that much & aren't used to eating it regularly already

and this puts it squarely on kimchi how exactly?
>Korea, Israel, Japan Singapore, Taiwan

Hmm, it's almost like the Fukushima disaster was near here. Also their konbini culture. and overreliance on heavy metal & microplastic contamination fish. And questionable manufacturing regulations. And the shadow of communist regimes like the CCP

It's not just about kimchi (apparently instant noodles play a part as well), if you could read a chart you would have noticed that the incidence of bowel cancer in South Korea is the highest in the world. Are you telling me that it is diet unrelated?

when listing the top countries listed on one chart, then SEA in general, as the other shows. Who can't read again? You seemed to claim my 'illiteracy' mistakenly or even falsely, as I demonstrated full well my understanding of both graphs. Same as you, right? I mean, that is, if you can read my response properly.

Eat it, it's very good. Put it over rice with some eggs. Make some bbq and pair it with kimchi, it cuts nicely through the fatty meat, especially pork.
