Going to be visiting America soon and I want to stop at one of these to try it because I've heard a lot about them. Should I or is it not worth going?

No, its not that bad. Its entirely overpriced and the diners that seem to go there are usually kinda fat and stupid though. Its basically just an Italian chilis; same fake decorations, and Americanized food to be sold for the greatest profit. Not terrible, but cmon, they're not doing anything complicated.

Anyone can make salad. Anyone can boil pasta and pour jarred sauce with some grated parm on top. The breadsticks are really good only because they have extra oil and salt in them, they've made some odd perfect blend that even McDonalds is studying to make a profit from. But at the end of the day is $1/lb pasta, $3 jars of sauces, and $3 of cheap cheese melted on a plate. The value isn't there because again, its cheap ingredients for $25 a plate. Its fine, but realistically even cooklets can make this shit at home outside of the breadsticks.

It's only about as good as an average microwavable entree or prepackaged salad. But you will pay a restaurant price for it.
They're on the same level as a Panera, which is arguably and even worse deal because canned soup is so much cheaper than a frozen entree.

Italians are mentally challenged if they are committing suicide just because they saw some food. There are people out there in this world that suffer from real problems before committing suicide, like depression. It's like hypochondria for otherwise healthy people.
But seriously, if it was this easy to get Italians to kill themselves, why didn't the Allied forces air drop pictures of the Tour of Italy on Fascist Italy?

It probably won't taste like how you remember it as a child because some time has passed, and you have changed, and the food has changed, and things are just different now. See, over time, things change, and become different. You might still like it, but if you don't that's okay, because the food is different, and you are different, and due to the passage of time, things change. Things are not always the same and they can become different over time.

It's basically the textbook example of a mediocre chain restaurant. I go there once in a while because my small city, despite having 5 or 6 fancy "authentic" Northern Italian restaurants, doesn't have anywhere else to get regular Italian-American food and it's decent enough to go back to now and then but man it could be a lot better.

It's not bad, but is definitely over priced. I used to work at one here, all the sauces come to the restaurant premade in bags that we microwave, also any sides you order are microwaved too if not deep fried. We half cook most of the pasta in prep and leave it in a cambro all day until you order so we can get it out faster. The grilled chicken is the same, it's precooked and we throw it in the frier to crisp it up when you order. It's just a small step above fast food, except they charge you double and serve cheap wine to make retards think it's fancy. That said, I still eat it.

Depends on location. My local one is shit, but any other one I have been to was fine.

Bread sticks are great hot - rock hard when room temp.

Salad is fine, assuming they have ranch. Which some apparently don't despite fucking Walmart selling their branded dressing.

Pizza was decent too.

I will say I prefer Carrabbas to OG. Better bread, food, and desserts.
