As I write this, they are constructing a THIRD Panda Express in my area. To give you an idea how excessive this is, there are only two McDonald's in the same area. Panda Express is a traffic scourge around here, as the lines to their drive thrus routinely spill out onto major thoroughfares, and snarl traffic for miles. Nothing like that ever happens near a McDonald's. First of all, this appears to be a better measuring stick for which fast food people prefer than stats or surveys. Clearly, most are too ashamed to admit they enjoy such slop. Second, I am starting a petition for my city to create special Panda Express-only lanes, which should be at least a block in length. Post in this thread to approve of the measure, and to join the petition.

Clearly you haven't heard of induced demand, the more Pandas you build the more people will want Panda Express. The real solution would be to close the drive thrus at all these Pandas and run bus lines to them instead, but we live in America so that's communism and not allowed

Although honestly drive thrus in general should be illegal, they make traffic worse, encourage car brain, and definitely worsen the obesity epidemic. If you want fast food you should have to walk, even if it's just a few feet from a parking space to the restaurant's doors.

The solution is not to take so fucking long doing orders.
If some lardwhale tries ordering for 20 people take the order then tell them to park and wait.
The point of drive thru's is to get the orders done quickly, i.e. by the time they get to the next window.
People should only be going through drive thru's for quick order anyway.

Why on earth would anyone open a local restaurant in 2025 anyway?
