Cooking is so hard bros. Why does nobody make a thread about this?

I can't take it anymore, it's a daily hustle and I'm always on the run. I'm not even a chef or anything I'm just talking about cooking for myself alone, not even family.

Eating is hard. Chewing is hard. Pooping is hard. Its also fucking boring doing the same movements everyday

Or is it only Asian cooking?

I just cook a lot on Sunday and don't have to think about it for the rest of the week. Takes a good chunk of the day in planning, shopping, and cooking but frees up an hour or two from every other day.

>pooping is hard
eat rice for breakfast with eggs, or oatmeal with hemp hearts. You need more fiber

You're doing it wrong, asshole. You cook something on the weekend that can last you a while to reheat during the week while keeping a few quick and simple recipes in reserve in case you run out.

be careful what kind of rice
white rice will constipate you, like white bread
the fiber is in brown rice, same as with whole wheat bread

Cooking is the easiest thing in the world. You are just putting food to heat for a certain amount of time. 99% of cooking is doing nothing while you wait for the food to cook. Everyone tries to overcomplicate it.

I had some meal prepped some soba with mukimame, shredded carrots, cucumber, and shrimp, with like a sesame ginger dressing of sorts. It only takes like 10 minutes to make 4 lunches worth, it's great. Easy peasy. I might make turkey burgers for dinner, with olives spinach and feta, and have that with rice. Also a piece of cake to make. Just dump shit into a bowl, form it into patties, and bake. You aren't going to have things handed to you. If you want easy to cook good meals you have to seek them out, no one is going to explain to you step by step how to live yourself. Join the army if you want that.

how is it hard? not everything needs to be elaborate. one day i'll take time to make an elaborate broth for ramen, the next i'll just fire some chicken drumsticks and sweet potatoes in the oven with some seasoning and eat that with some salad.

When I'm feeling too lazy to cook, I just drink a soy protein shake. I even have a bottle opener for it so I don't even have to exert myself.
Aside from that, I usually only bother cooking frozen pizzas. It's a good excuse to get rid of old meat and vegetables since you can just toss them on top of the pizza.

The more you cook the easier it gets, friend. Cooking has been a big hobby of mine for nearly 15 years now. Once you get good enough most weekday meals will only take you like 30 minutes or less of active cooking and you'll make something super delicious and healthy. :)

My advice is to do one or two different recipes per week that have different techniques and ingredients. This way you can learn how cooking works and fill your head up with all sorts of different ways to cook/prepare your meals.
