Yes. It was Umami rich. Definitely worth trying, but kinda overhyped.

Yes but it depends on the grade as well. You could go to a restaurant in Japan and get A1 and it will look more or less like a normal steak.

Worth trying once or twice, get A5 from Japan. It's not something you'd want to eat every day even if you could afford it

A5 ribeye a few times. Tender as it gets and flavourful, but most times I want a hunk of steak and not be limited to 50-60 grams of basically beef foie gras. I recently had some good Australian wagyu and I thought it had a great balance of beef content and tenderness without costing an arm and a leg.

Australian is good, tastes like normal steak but it's very good. No choice given the price of Japanese stuff.

From left to right it's A5 Hida tenderloin, M9 (Australian) ribeye, and snow-aged A5.

Its disgusting.
The "best one" has about 1/1 fat to meat ratio, which is the equivalent of the worst, greasiest, cheapest kinds of pork no one in their right mind consumes. It doesn't even taste of meat and the only reason it's "lE tEnDeR" is because you are not eating fucking meat, you are eating fat with some meat in it.
The only good thing about it is that it once again exposes food critics, nutritionists, and media (google in particular) for being two-faced cunts.

The first group goes bananas when they get two cups of grated cheese on their pizza instead of one because it becomes "tOo GrEaSy" yet they happily gobble this lard laced with meat up while soyfacing like they are in food heaven.

The second tells you through the last how red meat is terribly unhealthy (and pork is basically deadly) but try googling the fat content (just the fucking number) of wagyu beef and instead you will get fat content of random ground beef and several pages of copypasted nutritionist articles all explaining how achckchkchckually this disgustingly fat red meat is healthy™ because its all GOOD™ FAT™ and micro™ elements™.

And reality is: if your meat has more than 10 (15% pushing it) fat in it, then its shit meat. Doesn't matter if it costs 5$ or 200$. Doesn't matter if it's made in Japan or Switzerland. It's shit.
>But its not tend..
Learn to cook.

I went to a burger slider place that had waygu patties. It's just slightly more tender and fatties. Overrated.

Sous vide, reverse sear, and butter is the same with a normal steak.

Yeah. Its not particularly good. Basically, it's like some fatty piece of meat. Fat is all well and good, but if you're looking for the texture of meat, it doesn't meet the expectations.

What does Ie Tender mean?
I don't know what "eye ee" means. Like they put an I next to an E. What does it mean in this context?

Whenever I feel like eating a "wagyu burger," I just buy whatever minced beef has the most fat.
I like to cook my burgers in a pan so I can save the grease and use it as a condiment on my burgers. Now I know some of you will say that wagyu isn't about eating decadent meat with layers and layers of delicious fat, but...

A5 was too fatty and felt weird. A30 was the best steak ever. I've also had some "wagyu" hotdogs that were just really salty and stupid.

At costco they have normal ground beef, and then they have wagyu ground beef. Why the fuck would you want wagyu ground beef?

Wagyu is just a different species of cow, and the stuff you see marketed as wagyu in the US is mostly a domestic hybrid of wagyu and Angus.

Wagyu does not and has never meant A5 beef you retards, this is why they charge so much for it, because you're fucking stupid.

Tastes amazing but very different from regular steak. Very buttery, melts in your mouth, and you don’t need a big portion.
