What are your thoughts on the humble McDonaldโ€™s sausage sandwich?

where would this be on the menu? I'm always perplexed by other countries' versions of mickey D's, or heck even other places in the US, because it's such a boring place that I never even go there any more, maybe once every 6 months for their big breakfast with """hotcakes""" (pancakes)
I remember seeing that they added "steak bagels" to their breakfast menu now, too. Seriously? Who would want to eat a bagel for breakfast? And steak at a mcd's would be tough and chewy I imagine. So strange...

Bagels are dense and chewy, they're best toasted with cream cheese as a snack or maybe with some toppings for a meal but eating it like a sandwich and for breakfast is really weird. Is it common in other parts of the US?

I'm surprised they don't sell breakfast sandwiches on regular buns in america, but I guess that just bloats the menu. Would be funny if jack in the box had a patent on it or something.

Nah, if it was that profitable they would have brought it back. It probably didn't move the needle much and just pissed off the people that had to fit the whole damn breakfast menu into the regular one.

My high school sold bagel sandwiches in the student store and they probably sold hundreds of them every day. The pastrami and pepper jack ones were the best with some mustard.

I'm convinced corpos go out of their way to fuck with the masses they are taxing/culling. Rotating specialty items literally don't need to exist. We could have all day breakfast, the mcrib, a real $1 menu, AND the jalapeno double back tomorrow and the CEO would still richer than mine and your whole ancestral lineage combined. They do it just to make us agitated that's it's 'limited' then capitalize on our addict brains sense of euphoric relief and excitement upon its return

mimy hs sold bagels too but not sandwiches, just cream cheese packets and cold bread. Some fucker from whatever gay club the bagels funded would randomly disrupt class with a grocery bag of them and act like a drug dealer passing out glutenous crack for $1. Mostly girls and effeminate males bought them
