British food isn't as bad as they say. I like to make dishes from all over the world. The British ones I've made are: Cornish pasty, meat pie and Christmas pudding. They were all pretty good. The only thing I didn't like is that the pie crusts can be way too buttery, to the point of giving me heartburn. If I reduce the butter to 3/4s of what the recipe says, its usually better. (It could just be that I'm not habituated to so much butter, having grown up in Greece)

I've never been to the UK to try food from the local shops, but the recipes I got from British sites are good.

I feel like the complaints mainly come from jeets who can't eat anything unless it's spiced to hell and back with garam masala and street vendor ear wax.
