>get told to use stainless over nonstick due to jewish chemicals that can get into your food and fuck you up
>have to deal with this annoying mess no matter what I do (pre spray or lube with oil / lots of butter etc)
yeah I can't deal with it anymore. it's not a matter of being lazy for cleanup, it's the fact that the style of my food is affected, the amount of it (look how much egg I have to scrap like a dog to get off), and it makes the cooking process less enjoyable. I might just have to go back to nonstick for things like eggs
>>21404134 (OP)Let the pan get hot enough to where when you flick water on it the little beads dance around and your slop will not stick anymore.
Skill issue and being a lazy fuck.
Shove the food regularly it doesn't stick.
This is a bona fide skill issue. Either you're not fully coating the pan, your pan is too hot, or you're not stirring the eggs nearly enough.
Also don't put your pans in the dishwasher
It's actually because your eggs are too cold, straight out of the fridge they suck up too much heat even if you preheat to the leidenfrost effect. They need to be room temp, try warming them up in a bowl of warm water first.
Also, scraping: boil water in the pan, loosens up most gunk.
>>21404134 (OP)>get told to use stainless over nonstick due to jewish chemicals that can get into your food and fuck you upWhy would you even listen to cooklets who latch onto bullshit rules about what you can NEVER do in the kitchen in the first place? It's not like there's a huge mystery about how to properly use a non-stick pan so the coating doesn't come off in your food.
>>21404134 (OP)But those scrapings are the tastiest part.
>>21404141that's too hot for eggs. you want the heat level where the bubbles in your butter just start to turn brown.
>>21404499>how to properly use a non-stick pan so the coating doesn't come off in your food.Yeah never let it get over 100 degrees
>>21404134 (OP)You gotta grease the pan first. Also my stainless pan has a shiny surface from being polished; you might have some shitty ass brand. Look for the stainless pans that have a polished surface I'm loving the stainless stuff. My nonstick cookware ends up having scratches that are presumably nonstick material being cooked into the food.
>>21404499>It's not like there's a huge mystery about how to properly use a non-stick pan so the coating doesn't come off in your food. They recommend using plastic utensils with non-stick cookware, which is terrible in and of itself for being plastic cooked into the food along with non-stick coatings. Stainless steel is the master race of cookware.
Let the doggy lick the pan clean for you
>>21404670Not really, there are silicon spatulas. Wood utensils are also fine. It's just hilarious when things are good enough for 3 michelin star restaurants but not good enough for an anon on /ck/ making a shitty hamburger lol
>>21404141this does not allow for frittata, tortilla, omelette etc
Learn to use different pans for different kind of foods. Using one pan for everything is mom-tier
