I live in washington state so there's more teriyaki restaurants than McDonalds locations. Is that really what passes for teriyaki in some places?

>Going to a mall post 2001

Haha. I jest a little but not much. I only go to a mall every other year or so around Christmas just to walk around. What else is there to do? I don't buy shit there. It's not the 80s anymore.

If I need clothes I order online or go to Costco. If I need anything really I go to Costco. Food... supplies... whatever. Who the fuck goes to a mall #1 and then #2 eats?

I like mine the best. I get a rib roast cheap during Christmas and freeze it. let it sit out for an hour or two, slice it really thin and use this recipe to marinade it. Steam some veggies and rice to make a bowl and I’m all set.

American mall teriyaki is an approximation of PNW teriyaki which is a fusion of Mexican style chicken grilling with Korean sauce assembled to vaguely resemble a japanese dish. The majority of american sushi restaurants have also historically been owned by Koreans

The best way to do teriyaki is to move the breast, splay the chicken, marinade the carcass and barbecue it. Terikaki literally means barbecue.
no lean meat, no shish, no wok, you barbeque it. And this costs less not more.

You get a terikaki pack its a quarter of steamed rice, half a chicken sans breast, half a sliced onion, seasoning powder. It's cheap as fuck. all the undersized birds get terikaki'd

The breast is for yakitori, which you get from the same place. It's some dude with a fold up barbeque, some onions, he doesn't even make the rice the rice lady brings it for all the other vendors.
