Sounds like your gut biom isn't used to digesting beans and such.
I make a chickpea dish at least once a week and hummus every two weeks pretty much, plus whatever beans we have as a side dish maybe twice a week.

Should alao add that a half cup of dried chickpeas, when cooked, and mixed with all the other stuff should make like two cups of hummus, and make sure it's really whipped up, like you'd get at store bought stuff, mine usually comes out rather fluffy at first.

Did you skin the chickpeas after boiling?
The skins can cause excessive gas to those sensitive to them.
You can put a teaspoon of baking soda in the boil water to help loosen the skins.

This. Also, add more lemon next time. That will help.

Discard the soaking liquid and replace it with fresh water. The oligosaccharides contained in the chickpeas leech into the water overnight. You'll want to remove them as they cause gas and general digestion problems.

There's also phytic acid, tannins, polyphenols, and enzyme inhibitors leeching into the water which fuck up your nutrien absoprtion (to a degree).
