These "queso" flavored Sun Chips are fucking disgusting. The queso flavor isn't good and the black beans in the chip itself make it taste like sawdust.

eh the flavoring is ok, i like cheddar and salsa flavor - tho I wish salsa were a tad less spicy - my issue is more they are too fucking salty, you get very few in a bag, and they are often broken cuz of how thin they are.

How is that "New?" Safeway have me a free sample bag last year. I felt the same as you: not as good as the other varieties. Did they change the garden salsa one? They didn't taste as good as I remember when I bought some for a cookout back in October but the harvest cheddar were still good.

My kingdom for a cheesy popcorn that actually tastes like cheese and isn't way too salty.

I forgot the name of it since it was 15+ years ago, but a roommate I had back then worked for a gourmet popcorn store that had the only good cheese popcorn I've ever had. My suggestion is to simply give up. I pop my own corn as it's my favourite salty snack then spray it with no-stick cooking spray and flavour it with stock powder (make sure you get one that doesn't have added starch; Knorr ones don't). For cheese, the best I can come up with is to use butter spray and salt mixed with nooch. It's not perfect but it's surprisingly good. I've tried using cheese powder from instant mac after a box came with two packets of powder but because of the starch, it was booty on the popcorn. I would guess those Hoosier Farms cheese powders would be pretty good but I've never tried them.
