What is the best thing for me to do with it now?
Surely there are ways to turn it back into human-quality food, rather than simply throwing it away.

just like get your hand wet and rub it on the bread and then put it in the oven for like 10 mins
you just need to re-hydrate the bread it's very simple I used to get day old bread at the grocery store I worked at all the time. Comes out like 95% as good as a literal fresh loaf

It gets soggy if you use too much water. You only need a very small amount, that's why I recommend just rubbing your wet hand over it but you do you I really don't care

Dice it up into small chunks, take some cheese and dice or shave it down (works for stale or hard cheese too), boil up a bit of water and put the two together in it until they basically disintegrate into eachother and make some thick cheese bread soup and garnish as you see fit

if you have some kind of oven pan with a rack or a soemthing like that, you can put a bit of water in the pan put the bread on the rack, rub a bit of water on the bread, and let it steam in a low oven until soft.
