0 - calories, 0 sugar, 0 worries.
doesn't exactly taste like sugar but kinda does. haven't tried yet.
Expensive but 100 grams is equivalents to gazillion table spoons of sugar so not really.

What's wrong with it ? If I can get used to the taste it would basically mean like living with cheat codes.

It's gross. The flavor is hard to describe but it's noticeably not sugar.

Your tune will change. Stevia is sweet, but it comes with a deep funky bark-like taste similar to licorice or valerian if you are unfortunate enough to know what that's like. And that woody dirt flavour is far stronger than the sweetness.

I grew some myself and ground it into a powder. Smells grassy, and obviously doesn't dissolve.

As far as taste is concerned, it's only "good enough". It can also give you a lot of gas if you use a lot of it, which you likely will because the recommended serving size is barely noticeable. If you don't mind that, it's absolutely worth it.

I think the combo stevia and erythritol sweeteners have a pretty neutral sweet taste, they tend to be mostly erythritol but I think the stevia helps keep it sweet (I’ve had pure erythritol before and sometimes it doesn’t taste sweet at all)

Stevia is awesome. The way I use it -mixed with a lot of fat- I can't tell that it's not sugar. It works wonders for low carb desserts and smoothies and coffee drinks.

There's nothing wrong with it. I lost a lot of weight abstaining from sugar and stevia made that a lot easier.
Ignore anything negative you read. It doesn't have an off taste to most people and it's not some bad carcinogen. It's just expensive compared to sugar. And if you get off sugar you shouldn't try to keep the same amount of sweet treats in your diet anyway. I spent maybe $6 every two months on granulated stevia. And I keep bottles of sugar-free Italian hazelnut and vanilla syrups.
I suppose it doesn't live up to sugar if you're baking cakes with it, but I don't think that's how it's best used.

idk how accurate this is but I heard that your taste the sweetness, so your body prepares to digest carbs or sugars or whatever, which never comes. and that's supposedly bad for your body

Had some in yogurt this morning. Didn’t notice any “off” taste to it like I do with every other artificial sweetener I’ve tried. I suspect the tartness of the yogurt masks it.

This stuff is really good for drinks like lemonade, tea, coffee, shakes, diluted fruit juices and certain foods like oatmeal, yogurt. I can't figure out how to bake with this stuff yet though. Its harder to use compared to sugar and it has this really narrow "sweet spot" that tastes just right. Try it in a drink, If it tastes bitter or gross, use less next time, if you don't taste it add an extremely small amount almost as if you're adding cayenne pepper to your drink.
